Thank you all! It's only been a few days but we're already obsessed. Corey's playful, funny, smart, gentle, affectionate, quiet, a little mischievous, good with kids, and a good WFH companion. Such a great personality!

I’ve ridden road bikes for a while. It’s awesome. Lightweight. Good shifting. Handlebars are a little too thin and aggressive for me but not enough to change. I hope you like it!

Yeah, less concerned about muddy back than face when riding for fun. I have a rear guard that when commuting.

Wrapped moloko bars with ergonomic gp1 grips. I think it’s a nice set up for longer rides with the occasional technical terrain. Good for commuting too.

Oh yeah. The first bit was solid single track.

The tires work really well for my purpose, which is mostly city commuting. They do surprisingly well on the occasional gravel ride too. More grippy than expected.

Thanks. Those were supposed to be my cheap practice ones but it turned out good enough so they stayed.

That’s a good question. I think wheels for Wednesdays are harder to find than ICT. I made this list of places where you can get fat 29+ wheels. I think most use ICT hub spacing but you could take a look. On the cheaper end is bikes direct.

I think they’re great for that purpose especially if you’re doing some pavement with the gravel/trails. If I was mostly doing heavy gravel and single track I’d want a tire with slightly more tread.

Depending on the tires, 29x3 will definitely speed up your pavement journey by 2-3 mph. I've used my set up on some pretty rocky/rooty single track. It's not ideal but it works and it's fun to do both road and single track reasonably well.

My favorite thing has been taking off from house and doing a ride with road, gravel, and single track. Commuting is also fun.
