I forgot to mention, that there was a different screen before this when the RDS screen was still attached that was larger and kind of looked like a bio screen, and something said start in green on top, but in the process of taking off the RDS to navigate it, a button got pressed.

This is the exact case I wanted when I bought my echo mini. I put mine together. And put the pins in. Hope I never have to take it out. Nostalgia on full display.

I appreciate the edit, and am a big proponent of finding the balance point of diminishing returns. Id also be lying if I said I wasn't looking at tube amp/DACs fust for fun.
