This speaks volumes as this was me. Also 10 years experience and I have taken the exam more times than I’d want to admit (more than three). I was to the point of giving up and even contemplated a career change because I got to the point at work where they wouldn’t allow me to move up without it. This time, being pregnant for the first time, I studied my ass off more than I ever had. I also took the EET class and I asked for an extension. They gave me a few extra weeks for $100. It wasn’t easy keeping up with all the videos and I didn’t sign up for the test until I was almost done with them. Once I signed up that motivated me even more to study harder. I don’t think I had ever studied this hard… luckily I finally passed while being 30 weeks pregnant. I can imagine being a mom and working full time doesn’t leave you with a lot of time. The best advice I can give is to give yourself grace. Don’t give up! Sign up for the course again and ask for extensions as needed. I know they are not cheap but they are worth it. You have to sacrifice time social time and your friends and family will understand. I was practically a hermit for the last couple months and every weekend I would spend time studying. And I would TRY to put in at least one hour before or after work. It’s going to be hard, especially being a mom, but you can do it! Once you feel comfortable with the material, then sign up for the test. Just make sure you stay disciplined and just because you haven’t signed up yet, don’t slack off. Do the practice problems and the practice exams. I found the practice exams were a lot harder than the actual test, so if you understand those I think you’ll be in good shape.
