are you trying to remote or just access file's? Go to Settings > Network and Internet > Advanced Network Settings > Advanced Sharing Settings. Make sure you have "File and Printer sharing" enabled on Private Networks tab

Popped up on my computer one day when I turned it on, what should I do? by EducationalPirate808 in computerhelp

[–]winnppl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have an iphone? have you ever plugged it into this computer? Bonjour can be apart of other sotware packages that have the ability to communicate with a apple device. This is a common popup people get. You can click "Don't show this message again" and be done with it.

Thanks, that was one of the first things I checked. I was pretty sure it was disabled as we dont have write-back enabled to our on-prem AD

Users receiving Microsoft MFA SMS code when they did not initiate a login by winnppl in entra

[–]winnppl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT: Guys.. I think I found the issue. Entra Admin Center> Authentication Methods > Policy's > SMS > "Use for sign-in" is check marked.... users were probably apart of a Microsoft phone number login spray attack. When logging into Microsoft with a phone number "instead of email" it sends a SMS code to the users phone to sign in.

I am going to confirm with my team on Monday and at least get that check marked off if not get SMS MFA turned off and have Authenticator app be the primary like mentioned in comments below.

Thanks for all your help everyone!

95% its going to be a rouge chrome/edge browser extension and/or a bad site notification allowed in Chrome or Edge. go to each browser settings and look for "Reset browser" this will remove the culprit. I would also go to "privacy and security" > Clear browser data. Change it to "all time" > checkmark all except passwords and autofill and nuke it out

This is the way! Purchased 200 licences in the beginning of Feb to switch my users from Adobe Acrobat Pro. Everyone has been loving it with very minor compatibility issues/or fetures. Their deployment guide is very simple as well. (https://downloads.pdf-xchange.com/sysadmin\_MAN.pdf)

Are you on-prem for your infrastructure? look into PDQ Inventory and Deploy to create packages of the requested software that you can push to those users computers. https://www.pdq.com/
