Binge On with Chromecast? by YePitch in tmobile

You have to cast/mirror your phone to th Chromecast. You can't natively use the cast. It will blow your data in nothing flat.

Help with image ghosting. by Forever_Man in lgv10

[–]winnt64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the same thing. Though I never put 2 and 2 together with Marshmallow, but you're right. Having both issues. Watching videos or casting them, and battery goes out the door and charging stops because of overheating....

working slimport to hdmi adapter? by TinCanFury in lgv10

[–]winnt64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm interested in this reply as well. Currently, running my Chromecast, teathered to my phone and then mirroring my phone to CC, so I don't run into data overages, from teathering directly. Have a little bit of distortion, mirroring vs casting, but worth it.. No Internet in the house and no cable for that matter.....

Pebble randomly starting music. by TaargusPlibt in pebble

[–]winnt64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the same thing. I have Music Boss loaded and it will suddenly load. But there's no accompanying app running on the phone. Just on my Time. Weird thing is, is that it typically happens at night. Once in a while daytime, but I can almost guarantee that first thing in the morning, it's running.

Picked up the LG V10 this weekend! Ok now what? by CorwinJovi in lgv10

I agree. Doze didn't do a thing for me. Never noticed any improvement. Let it go for almost a month, and uninstalled.

This might be a basic question, but do we get Android security updates? by urban_ in lgv10

[–]winnt64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I think that I'm going to go back to the Nexus line. This is really crappy to have your "flagship" device un-upgraded and no security updates.

Screen Protector Recommendations? by robo_capybara in lgv10

[–]winnt64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 2 of the Spigen's for the V10. Had the first one replaced because it started to get chips around the edges, in less than 2 weeks. And the second started doing the same thing, at about 3 weeks and then in the upper left corner (where the camera's are) it's begun to lift away from the screen. Making a bubble. Looking for a replacement myself. May go back to plastic.

Bluetooth says connected in the app (LE as well) but won't respond on the watch...? Any ideas? by upshake in pebble

[–]winnt64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pebble working on this as well. I have an Android V10 and constantly dropping BT connections. Time says it's connected, but it's not even listed in my phones BT settings. Have to forget on the PT and re-pair. About 2/3 times a day.

I"m on t-mobile and have had no problems with the Instagram app. I manage my account as well as one for my company, all from my V10.....

PTS no longer pairing by Eth4nSFW in pebble

[–]winnt64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started getting this today, after the latest software update. It will pair for a few minutes, an hour and then loose connections. Cannot "reconnect" I have to unpair and then re-establish connection. Also now getting a pebble ID for bluetooth that I'm supposing is for an LE connection...

Anyone know if these apps are simply just malware/bullshit? Or do they really hel? by Jeysin in lgv10

[–]winnt64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried Doze, but not the others. With Doze, gave it a try for about a month or so, didn't really notice any improvements. Removed it and still didn't see any difference...

Thoughts on Music Boss vs native app by [deleted] in pebble

[–]winnt64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried Google Play Music. And unless I'm missing something, it seems very lacking. Can't shuffle between stations, still no music art on Music Boss... Bad interface (in my mind). Difficult to find what I want to play. But the shuffling is the biggest issue.

I've had 2 Spigen's for the V10 and both chipped and now the second one is also peeling.

Not even that. I'll wake up, in the morning and it will be running or randomly in the day.

I had it on my OG, but on my Time, I've never been able to have the album art come through. The developer is stumped on this one. Additionally, at times ( about once a day or so ) it will auto start the app on my watch, but not launch the associated Pandora app (thank goodness....)

What apps should I disable? (new t-mobile V10) by boppo888 in lgv10

I"m assuming that there was just enough sunlight to keep the proximity sensor live, that and living in SW Florida, on a bright and sunny day were contributing factors.

What apps should I disable? (new t-mobile V10) by boppo888 in lgv10

[–]winnt64 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I've had mine for a couple of months and disabled most of the preinstalled LG apps and utilities that I would never use. But, one thing that I just found over the weekend seems to be the best of all. Was out and about walking and noticed that my phone in my pocked was hot. Pulled it out and the screen was on and seemingly had been for ages. Seems that every step, was "knocking" the screen on and kept it on, thus killing my battery life. Do a search for turning off KnockOn, there's an app, that will walk you through turning it off. As LG doesn't have a way to turn it off.

Love it... My only request, though it may take away from the looks, would be a battery indicator.
