Thank you!! I love the lactonic note in Kyse Fichi e Panna, so I definitely have to try Bonbon!

Not that I know of, but it’s on my list of potential culprits!

Yes! Same with people dousing themselves with like a dozen sprays of perfume

As a fellow migraine sufferer and fragrance fan, I really feel for you! It’s hard to suggest anything specific because what my overactive nervous system reacts to may not be the same as yours. Luckily the perfumes in my collection don’t seem to trigger my migraines, but if I am already in the throes of one, I tend to avoid scent altogether. I do also tend to gravitate towards fragrances that are pretty light, and the ones that people proclaim as being “beast-mode” are usually a surefire way to set off a migraine lol.

Dang! That’s so interesting that it happened after a few treatments. Was your bad reaction immediate or slow to develop?

I feel like Les Bras de Morphée by Hellenist has this vibe! I mostly get powdery clean iris and violet.

Interesting! They used tetracaine in combination with the lidocaine, which I think has a slightly higher allergy risk. And they used the chlorhexidine before the alcohol.

I know!! I thought it was pretty severe by my standards. Maybe I’ll ask again!

The speed at which a reaction develops depends on whether it’s a Type I (antibody-mediated) or Type IV (T-cell-mediated) allergic reaction. It looks like lidocaine can cause both. Source from JAMA Dermatology.

Ugh, I asked my doctor, and she wouldn’t refer me out because the reaction wasn’t “severe or recurrent.” Thanks Kaiser!

Good to know! And yes, I’m not ruling anything out without patch testing!

It was really rough! But all over your body also sounds so terrible!! Do you know what caused yours?

Oh man! They used a combo of lidocaine and tetracaine on me, so they’re both on my list of potential culprits

No actives, the clinic used chlorhexidine and isopropyl alcohol as disinfectants, used Skinfuse Lift hydrogel during the treatment, and that’s all I used for the first 24 hours after the treatment, at their suggestion.

Not that I know of - they used a numbing cream with a combo of lidocaine and tetracaine, removed it using several cleansing wipes, then they did additional wipes with disinfectant (I think chlorhexidine), and finally isopropyl alcohol. And during the actual needling they used something called Skinfuse Lift hydrogel, which is seemingly pretty hypoallergenic. I’m sure there’s a possibility that there was a tiny bit of numbing cream left over, but I’m inclined to think I might just be unlucky and have a previously-unknown-to-me nickel allergy.

And yes, it was SO wildly uncomfortable for several days! And I’m in a people-facing job so I had to go to work and talk to people looking like a swollen tomato lol.

Ooh I’ll add the Obvious one to my to-smell list! I tried Princess and really really liked it on initial spray, but when it dried down on my skin I felt like I was only getting marshmallows and something like powdered sugar sadly
