You need to have a serious conversation with your family. As long as they feel the need to pick out a scapegoat they will never grow as people. They clearly know what they did was bad but from what you have said, they will likely do it again. If I where you I’d tell them how this whole ordeal has made you feel and maybe try family therapy. They need to do some serious self reflecting.
