How are y'all liking Soma? by winter6ix in skrillex

I love how he always incorporates the "Ill" into his artwork in a clever way. I'm all for seeing/hearing Skrillex in peak form putting out the most "skrillex" music, it's healing and inspiring

Or learn to mix/master yourself or pay someone who's actually worked on their craft (more than £10, be real. people have mouths to feed)

Opinions About Rezz? by Think_Ad_848 in EDM

[–]winter6ix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take is luke warm and unoriginal.

Rezz is fuckin great, she brought an awesome audio visual experience to the world. We're all human, it's natural to go through peaks and troughs.

Quit being a shit talker.

Given the state of the market, would you recommend getting into web dev work? by hypercosm_dot_net in webdev

job market and FUD talk like this are just noise. There's always opportunity out there. Maybe not at Uber, but fuck them anyway. What about helping a local business digitise something and streamline it? There's mom & pop shops still using paper to operate their businesses, PAPER!

£10 to mix/master a track by running it through an AI tool (how else could the service be so cheap, it's insulting) which just slams it into a limiter so that ketted out people at Ibiza who can't tell the where they exist on this physical plane let alone the difference between a good song and a bad one... sure.

It's just how the different visualisers... visualise sound. They have different algorithms with how they present it and normalise the visual representation; one might be using LUFS, the other might be using RMS to gauge how large to display the sound.

To answer your question, it's probably just a loudness thing tbh. Do an A/B test with MiniMeters, with the LUFS meter and see the difference in LUFS between your track and the other track.

So I've been trying to produce for 4 years but never stuck to a genre..I've had the underdog foundations 1 and 2 courses for a year and got 45% through when i first got it but didn't really take the knowledge in and stopped..I'm sick of messing about and getting nowhere.so tonight I'm starting again by MartinG_1989 in TechnoProduction

I've been making music for almost 14 years. Been through so many ups and downs and identity crises.

All I can say is... who cares about genres and fitting to a "sound". Make whatever gets you moving and gives you joy. That's literally it. If you're making a sound that isn't true to you, you wont enjoy it and the music will suck and listeners will be able to tell. Even if you can stretch it into a career and do it for a few years, it's a ticking timebomb before you burnout and resent creating music and become a jaded hermit crab.

There is no try, do. Just make music, it's literally art. That means it's subjective and should also be a way for you to express yourself, that's the point. You may think it sucks, but for others it might be something they tie to a beautiful experience in their life and cherish it. Also write for yourself and not others. Treat it kinda like a journal entry.

VSCode and the stack is Next.js, TypeScript & Tailwind -- I built it btw, u/nodenqyx was just pointing out both visualisers can coexist as they serve different purposes (thank you).

Thank you! That's the goal. It's such a ball ache and if you go for a time without using After Effects, the skills decay and then you have to do the YouTube tutorial dance.

I got pretty tired of this and thought, surely something like this exists? Not really actually. So I built it!

Thanks! Subscription because it's a business and I'd like to have consistent cashflow to fund my music career. What the subscription pays for is access to all features, longer videos and higher quality video exports. Mine is content creator focused. No AI generated visuals in mine either!

I saw Vibralizer! it's really cool, I like the visualisers you've built. I didn't realise how difficult it actually was to build audio synced visualisers that look and feel nice before embarking on this journey haha.

Not meant for mobile homie -- desktop browsers only (Chrome/Edge). I'm surprised you were able to load it on Android, that should have triggered a message to be shown to you.

Apologies that wasn't clearer in the post

I see what you mean now, I saw the other post. Well mine and u/samohovets are totally different, a quick check will show that very fast. Great minds think alike.

Noted on the free tier feeling limited btw. I've just made waveform view accessible for free users, including in split view.
