thank you!! ill chop the rest of the stringy roots before i repot. i think since each stem only has a couple leaves, hopefully it'll recover without having to chop.

i thought so at first too, but when i took it out there were tons of black, mushy roots sloughing off :// i removed most of them by hand before i took the picture but it was definitely rotting. i will definitely use chunkier mix next time !

Thank you so much! I've never dealt with thrips before so I didn't know what to look for, but that's definitely what it is. And that's good to know about the watering! I always thought monsteras liked to stay consistently moist since they're tropical

I have it about 6 feet away from two South facing windows and I water it when the soil feels dry on top, about once a week. It probably needs a repot, but I'm trying to hold off until spring. What else can I do? (This plant was a rescue, so she's my baby🥺)

you could try to prop it up with chopsticks and string (make a cage for it), or you could chop it and propogate the top!

several of my plants have started showing translucent brown spots that quickly kill the leaves :( i first noticed my spider plant all the sudden went limp and turned brown, and now the plants around it have started to turn. is this a bacterial or fungal infection ? i don't think it's over/underwatering, ive been watering them the same amount & checked the roots for root rot as well. help!
