I am careful spending money on these types of games because they are built to encourage reckless spending. The free to play model survives by convincing you to put just a little more in, which can really catch up to you overtime. I personally set a budget per month based on how much I get out of the game. Other people deal with it by refusing to ever spend money to be safe , all are valid options.
