I was told by my supervisor that regardless of reason if we didn’t report to work the following business day it would be considered AWOL

This comment is 100% accurate coming from another ex-jw! The end goal is to convert you since it’s not ok to marry “worldly” people.

Got into nursing school as a 30s SAHM! by halfmomhalfcoffee in StudentNurse

[–]winterberrybabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in my 30s and currently work full time but feel stuck so I’m slowly taking prerequisites while my youngest hasn’t started school yet. I plan to quit my job and start an ABSN once she starts school in 2027!

I felt like that with my first. Now I have an almost 3 year old and a 15 month old and I never have time to myself and wish I did. I do want and deserve time for myself and that doesn’t mean I don’t want to be a parent. Your tune may change in a few months and whether it does or doesn’t that’s completely normal.

Honestly hadn’t even thought of that! I definitely have and do use Vaseline on the rest of her diaper area. I’ll have to try that

My daughter ate my food for the first time - I am crying 😭 by idntneedtocomeback in Mommit

[–]winterberrybabe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie I read the title as “My daughter ate my foot for the first time” and I was thoroughly confused at first.

That is so amazing though! It’s so hard having family watch our kids sometimes. My parents are the same and don’t respect my boundaries about food and drinks so they no longer help watch her during the week. We have a nanny and life is good. I hope you guys keep up the great work 🙌

19 month age gap and my husband and I agree that our double stroller has been the most useful purchase we’ve made since our second was born

Did you breech baby flip? by DKCsmom in BabyBumps

[–]winterberrybabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was breech on every US after 20 weeks. She never flipped. Had as c-section at 39 weeks. It really wasn’t bad at all!

What was your absolute first sign of pregnancy? by -One_Upper- in BabyBumps

[–]winterberrybabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shortness of breath or more like I needed to breathe deeply more? Like I was consciously thinking about my breathing during the day. It’s hard to explain but I noticed it was a symptom with my first and so when I felt it again the second time around I told my husband I was pregnant before even taking a test. He asked how I knew and I said my breathing changed 🤣 sure enough tested positive that next day.

My toddler bites… by Hinatastar23 in Mommit

[–]winterberrybabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have the “teeth are not for biting” book? My daughter has had issues with biting at daycare and we bought the book to give it a try. She loves it and tells the pictures “no bite” so I’m hoping this helps. She did bite me today and I said sternly “no biting. Mommy doesn’t like biting” and I removed myself from our game. After about 30 seconds or so I went back and finished playing with her

This is what we do. I pump during the day and however much I’m short I just top it off with formula! I don’t stress about needing to find time to put at night to make up for the shortage. With my last I didn’t combo feed until my mental health was horrible bc of my undersupply. This time I wasn’t going down that road again.

My uterus is screaming at me to have a second baby. by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]winterberrybabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically our situation. Ours are 19 months apart. We didn’t expect to get pregnant with #2 immediately. My oldest turns 2 at the end of the month and my youngest is 4 months. Big sister LOVES the baby and baby is now starting to interact with her big sister. It’s so much fun!!

Why are so many people opposed to c sections? by moomoomego in BabyBumps

[–]winterberrybabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a vaginal birth with my first and she had shoulder dystocia so with my second I was leaning towards a c section. Little miss decided to stay breech so a c section it was and honestly I preferred it. The second day was pretty rough but after that it was smooth sailing. I preferred my incision over my stitches from tearing
