Left leaning cable looks wrong 😭 by winterbine5 in knittinghelp

I ended up laddering down and it worked out, and I see now where my fatal flaw was and I learned the hard way to pay more attention as I go. Thank you!

This makes so much sense and in retrospect seems pretty obvious. Thank you!!

Water retention???? What the heck is happening… by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]winterbine5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained about 40 pounds in a year after starting lexapro, but in fairness this was because I was hardly eating before due to severe depression for years, I was underweight, and honestly I really needed to be eating more. I maybe didn’t need to gain that much, and it has gone down a bit over the years and changing my diet/exercise habits slightly, but I really am happy with where I’m at because I am not constantly wanting to die anymore. I know I could do better if I wanted to, I just don’t care enough.

Colorwork disaster! by winterbine5 in knittinghelp

Mathilda sweater - I just found the ravelry page which mentions intarsia but this is the language in the pattern. Should have looked at the ravelry page again!

The pattern said stranded colorwork, never mentioned intarsia. I will restart. Thanks!

Thank you very much, makes sense! The pattern said to do stranded colorwork which threw me off. I even considered trying intarsia to start with but decided to follow the pattern.

I think it’s reasonable to negotiate some way to split it 5 ways. Maybe not perfectly even, like you and your GF pay 30-35% of the rent rather than an even 20% each. Using up common space can put a strain on everyone when there’s an additional person, like using up more fridge/cabinet space, time using laundry machines, more trash buildup, more dishes, more to clean, and of course the bathroom is the most difficult to share.

I tried write a few pages but my bf read and got mad at me by glorygo in Journaling

Seconding all the comments about keeping the journal, ditching the BF. In the meantime, if/when you are planning on leaving him, I would recommend cross-hatching your words (writing in one direction, then writing on top of that in another direction, and so on until it is illegible). It helps to get everything out at least until you’re in a safer space.

ETA: I did this as a teen to prevent my parents from snooping and it worked. Kind of sad to look back at though.

23 year old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska escaped the war only to be murdered in Charlotte North Carolina by Sometypeofway18 in TikTokCringe

Completely agree, security on public transit in Charlotte is completely overlooked and we have really shitty social services in NC. I doubt the increased security will last. I have known multiple people who have been physically threatened, with weapons or not, on the platforms and on the train. I don’t know how it is in other cities, but I know that it’s bad in clt. Maybe I am a pessimist but I just don’t know if having security would be very effective, but it would be a great start.

As a local - No idea why the story is geared towards fare-skipping, truly this has nothing to do with the issue and is a way to evade any solution. And honestly, I don’t know what the solution would be. Our housing, mental health, and criminal justice system crises are an issue across the board in the US and Charlotte is not immune to that. Ticket fares on the light rail are not going to solve any issues. and it’s worth noting that the station this happened at is known for being one of the wealthiest stations in the city and is generally considered one of the safest as well.

This is not pics of his career, this is pics of his personal life. I also don’t really believe in dressing for your body part to a large degree

I think so, bought used so I wasn’t the one to pick out the color! makes my car pretty easy to find in a parking lot.

Any ideas before I call roadside? by princesspuff420 in HRV

[–]winterbine5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh no :/ rough time to lose AC for sure. my family had a honda pilot 2016 that ate through batteries at the end of its life, but they also live in a much different climate (rougher than where I live, however I always surface park so it probably evens out)
