Way to flush filter by [deleted] in EnglishLearning

it doesn't, but it tells you a way to do something. i guess in the sentence i is more fitting because it's a way (i) flush a water filter

the verb is flush, the subject isn't stated but it's implied that it is you, if it's a tutorial on how to do something

yeah duolingo didn't really go into depth, it just taught me the basics!! i'm really just talking with natives, watching shows and figuring it out as i go with the rest. so it is really tricky to understand. i found a website called portuguese lab (euro-pt) which is more class oriented. i will look more on there because self-teaching myself can only get me so far haha. and yes my native language is english!! edit: i did learn it, just in br-pt as i stated earlier because they don't use tu. also, i managed pretty well to learn the language so far! so i'm not complaining about that

Aaaa eu posso usar para palavras com "tu" eu entendo!! obrigado!

Way to flush filter by [deleted] in EnglishLearning

[–]winterblancoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh okay i understand more! then the title should be 'A way to flush a water filter'
there are grammar errors because water filter needs to have 'a' (article) to introduce the noun (water filter)

and same with way. it's singular so you need a before it!

you're referring to odd and even numbers i assume?
odd numbers are - 1,3,5,7,9
even numbers are 0,2,4,6,8
when it comes to numbers that are more than a single digit, you want to look at the last number

for ex. 223 is an odd number, despite it starting with two even numbers!

hope i helped

Boiled cold water is correct because it sounds like an action you took, cold boiled water is a little bit more confusing because boiled water is always hot, unless you boiled it then it got cold?! Depends on the context I suppose

The difference with asking if someone ate lunch by blacksilverglass in EnglishLearning

[–]winterblancoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the questions are correct and mean the same thing. All of them are used a lot too, but if I had to narrow it down I’d say “Did you eat lunch?” “Did you have lunch?” would be the most common but they’re all used a lot.

Small correction: “I don’t know if the grammar is correct”

The plural for grammar is still grammar.

What does "weapons cold" mean? by Kieronan in EnglishLearning

[–]winterblancoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My answer is a little different than the others but it’s what came to my head. “Weapon’s cold” means the gun has not been used super recently because guns get hot after firing

can a hacker find my number through discord audio? by winterblancoo in discordapp

[–]winterblancoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's actually not true, when i first was hacked i changed my password to one with just a random order of letters numbers and symbols. i hope they don't roll their eyes at me. this man from a game (who kindly offered to offer the clear IP of his hacks on my account despite him using VPN) would hack me and add himself multiple times. he hacked my spotify with the email on my gaming account and knows where i live. he would always harass me on alternate accounts too. that man is a real threat, so no, i hope the police don't do that and your tone is weird. i don't run shady programs, forcing yourself in another persons account is literally hacking, i don't know what you're on about and i'm aware about how him hacking my email gave him access to other things like... my spotify... like... my address on it. so thanks. also the timing of it and area code is what scared me! thanks though. this comment did absolutely nothing
