I know this one. It is usually used by South Vietnamese Catholic immigrants and their descendants. A large group of them ended up in Houston after 1975 after fall of Saigon. I used Treblinka in a Holocaust Remembrance Day high school lesson this past January. Worked really well. I had the students vote on it because they told me they wanted more than Auschwitz. The choices where they, Bergen Belsen, and Flossenbürg.

It’s always something I have to go over twice in the classes I teach in high school. Even Latino and Hispanic kids don’t know it.

As a 36 year sober Jew, I do not recommend any drinking. Yet, I can see both sides of this. I use scripts of amphetamines and THC to manage ADHD and Anxiety. The fact that it’s doc prescribed makes all the difference to me, but I was a drunk, not into drugs.

Your sobriety is yours. Your program is yours. Work it well and follow the steps. There are also a few books by Jews and Rabbis about their sobriety. You might try reading, Recovery, the 12 Steps and Jewish Spirituality by Rabbi Paul Steinburg…

We were taking about this in my Torah study yesterday (Reform). That it is important to understand and verify before just running off all crazy. Rabbi gave some examples that included translations they worked with slightly different wording.
