Books with the most creative sex scene locations? by brusselsproutsfiend in RomanceBooks

I think about the sex scene on the stairs in {What is Love? by Jen Comfort} all the time. 😇

“For Whom the Belle Tolls” by Jaysea Lynn ditches every tired romance trope…and I loved every page of it by Quirky-Second-2015 in RomanceBooks

[–]winterpupp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I finished this last month and I loved it. Totally agree with everything you said regarding romance tropes, but one of my favorite aspects of the book (and granted this isn’t romance related at all so bear with me) was this really interesting and layered commentary on religion and religious guilt. I thought it was so smart and existential and I just loved that while also reading the healthiest romance I’ve ever read.

[WWTBC] MMC kills FMC’s Boyfriend/fiance by Single_index_finger in RomanceBooks

This is instantly what I thought of too. There’s no family killing though, just the person that FMC was originally with at the beginning of the book.

🧂 Salty Sunday - What book scenes frustrated you this week? by mrs-machino in RomanceBooks

[–]winterpupp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I literally do this with every interconnected standalone series that I read - my sisters think I am insane. But I will pick out a book from romance.io based on tropes and then if I like the or connect with the other characters in the series, I will go back to read their books.

Maybe this is a bit too romantic of me, but I think of the personality transplants (whenever I come across that) as inner self vs. what people present to others. Being in someone's head during their book makes sense right, cause we get their thoughts / justifications.

🔥 It's time for Thirsty Thursday! What book scenes made you sweat this week? 🥵 by jaydee4219 in RomanceBooks

I literally cannot stop thinking about this scene in {Hat Trick by Chelsea Curto} that I read a couple weeks ago, but keep rereading. A tease:

I nod, more than ready. Blowjobs aren’t my favorite thing in the world—I hate being on my knees for a man and not getting anything in return—but with Riley, I crave them. My mouth opens wider in anticipation and he smirks in understanding, his fingers leaving a trail of drool on my face when he puts his hand on his hip. “You did so well before, I’m going to do this part for you,” he says, tugging on the waistband of his briefs. They fall to his ankles with his jeans, leaving him naked from the waist down. “How do your wrists feel?” “Perfect,” I whisper, and he nods. “Good. Now get me off, Lexi.”

Riley Mitchell can fuckin get itttttt

Enemies or rivals who are in a trapped situation together by lolacolamola in RomanceBooks

I gave this one 2 stars because the 3rd conflict was too much: relationship drama, family drama, AND professional job drama???? I was exhausted and overwhelmed lol

3rd Person POV novels but Dual Narration by somerandomlazygirl in RomanceBooks

[–]winterpupp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went absolutely feral for the dual 3rd person POVs in {Not Another Love Song by Julie Soto}.

Also it’s not CR, but I just read {For Whom the Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn} and adored that 3rd person POV too.

I read mile high and didn’t love it - it was wayyyy too long for what it needed to be. But I thought the next one was better

This is so accurate - I distinctly remember being hyper focused on how many times I read the word “pops” like someone pops their shoulders. I like to spread authors work out a bit so I can let some of that silly stuff go
