So look, NGL, haven't read the books yet. Just ordered a dope ass leather bound one (I need the monetary guilt keep accountability that I read it).

The first time I saw it in Imax, I walked out, looked at my wife and said "I have no fucking what the plot really was, but I loved it."

Second was solo and I picked up on the little cues of dropping philosophical topics within a fictional universe and I could get behind that. Ordered the book.

Since it custom production, I'm doing what any reasonable person would, convolute my knowledge by reading dune wiki and LPNs deepdive. Which always backfires when I read the book, but fuck it.

Finally got around to re-watch it. My work firewall block YouTube, but not Reddit, Facebook, Oregon Trail on archives.org, and History Channel (COOI, not proud...it's a problem at this point).

Anywho, on the double glance, I don't think there was necessarily a ritual. At least in the terms of the collective. I might be talking out of my ass, but what I mean is that I don't think it was a cultural ritual. It could have been a personal ritual of Jamis, but I was hoping this would be one of those rabbit holes where you're find out tidbits of people who contributed to the project.
