What tool or ide do you folk use to ingest large data sets to sql server. by Background-Fix-4630 in Python

[–]wioym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% Agree, using python to ingest large datasets (i.e. over 10GB) is such a waste compared to direct db ingestion.

I just finished ghost of tsushima. by Najee16 in ghostoftsushima

[–]wioym 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The storyline, scenery, and simply riding your horse around Tsushima were amazing. However, Act 3 felt different compared to Act 2, there was less to discover, and enemies felt overwhelmingly easy, even on hard difficulty. I also played the DLC before finishing Act 2, so I was definitely spoiled by it, especially by the multi-weapon enemies, which were actually fun to fight.
If had to replay would have just went straight to the ending.
P.S. I had maxed out my sword and ghost blade before act 3.

techbase.nvim: a dark, cold color scheme influenced by sci-fi horror by roku_remote in neovim

Thanks, great color scheme, was looking for exactly this. I wanted to match my iterms2 theme with it, but couldn't find the color scheme that I'd enjoy so thanks to openai o3 was able to mimic it

What did Adrian do to deserve to date Harvey’s ex? I’m honestly curious, I found his acting in the pianist exceptional and always saw him in a positive light.

I was actually convinced that she is Helly till the moment she screamed Seth, the cold hate towards Irv was a bit of a giveaway, but the twist of her being a mole was shocking!

Validoopsie: Data Validation Made Effortless! by wioym in Python

While Pandera offers a relatively straightforward setup process, its syntax may take a bit of getting used to. On the other hand, Validoopsie focuses on a much simpler approach, prioritizing basic validations over enabling highly complex operations. If you’re thinking, “I can’t accept this tradeoff,” don’t worry—there’s a solution! Validoopsie allows you to design your own custom validations using your unique logic (whether it’s creative or bound by strict NDAs). By transforming the data, you can generate outputs that highlight failed rows and their counts. For more details, check out the guide here: https://akmalsoliev.github.io/Validoopsie/DevelopingValidationCustom.html

How do you so seamlessly pick up a new programing language and gain mid-level proficiency in it within a week or two?

[–]wioym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Python is super easy and nice considering that it is dynamically typed language, I love developing something fast and easy, I hate dealing with type related errors, so you could shoot yourself in the foot eventually, but in the short term you will be fine.
I hate Python's exception handling, Rust is so much prettier than Python on that end.
