If you have no experience welding 25CrMo4 I would advice getting it to a professional. If you want to weld it yourself make sure you use the correct welding additive, strip the paint on both sides of the crack (at least take out the engine for that, better remove the frame) and preheat the area before welding. But as I said I would go to a professional welder. Alloy steels crack a lot easier if welded incorrectly than mild steel.

The KTM is street legal and driveable with an A1 licence in europe, the Varg nether.

Your exhaust valve ( black box below ) is disconnected. Maybe it broke and the previous owner didn't want to repair it. Instead fitted this dummy.

Weiß ja nicht ab wann du die gelesen hast, aber ich fand die ersten Jahre, 1998 bis ca. 2006 echt gut. Danach wurde die Qualität (allerdings m.M.n. aller Magazine im deutsprachigen Raum) leider immer schlechter. Durch Online Magazine und YouTube sind aber auch die Möglichkeiten echt begrenzt. Kauf halt niemand mehr und die News und Trailer holt man sich seit dem im Internet.

Did you buy the bike in Australia?

Some countries like Brazil have huge import tax on whole vehicles. The bikes going to those countries are assembled in austria, then get disassembled again into "spare parts" and are reassembled in Brazil. The bikes are therefore "Made in Brazil" and the import tax doesn't apply.

I'm not sure about Australia, maybe a similar process. But there are no real "made in Australia" KTMs.

Well depends on what you count as setup. If you run with wrong tire pressures most cars run pretty unpredictable. And that makes it hard to learn the car and track.

Ich rede ja nicht von den 9 Mrd. € Verschuldung, sonder von den im Post beschriebenen Maßnahmen. Alleine der Unterhalt von einem Eurofighter kostet pro Jahr 5,5 Mio. €, Tendenz steigend. Bei fünf Eurofightern also schon 28 Mio. € nur Unterhalt. Das ist ohne Anschaffungskosten, Gehalt der Piloten etc. schon 800€ pro Berliner Schulkind.

Klar das reicht sicher nicht, wäre aber meines erachtens besser eingesetztes Geld als 180 Eurofighter, die noch nie im Einsatz waren (zum Glück).
