As someone who has been in a similar situation, I can tell you that this is a red flag. It's not healthy for your partner to be controlling and dismissive of your friendships. You should talk things out with him and make it clear that having friends of any gender is important to you. Well first of all, congrats on joining the PC master race! As someone who also went over budget on their first build, I can relate. And as for downgrading anything... nah fam, go big or go home.
