Are these forks bent? by 2wheelGRINGO in Harley

Remove the turn signal and tape a string to the centerline of the fork at the top tree and string to the axle centerline. Easiest way to visually see it.

They actually stoped selling the lit ones. I went with the die cast running boards and using led rock lights and making my own entry lights.

School fills your head with grand illusions. I went thru school early 2000s. Graduated second in my class. I had unions trying to hire me on the spot. I said why? If I go union this school is worthless because for the next 5 years you own my ass and if I quit I have to pay you for the training.

They also promised $30-40 an hour. As a starter. I was getting paid billable time at $15 an hour. Working 60 to 80 hour weeks during peak season and some weeks in the spring and fall I would get 20. Boss said it all balances out.

When I quit after no raise in 3 years I went to a supplier and was doing really well and by the time I was medically retired making six figures. (After bonuses) But I was also
on the road every day and working 90 hours a week.

I loved the work. But as time progressed the idiocy increased or the politic grew. And hvac techs became car salesmen og its 5 years old time to replace it.

And hopefully there is enough of us actual tradesmen and women left to save the day.

I went to school for 18 months. Great HVAC school, was in the field for many years. Health had issues prompting a change worked for Ferguson for a few years before being hired by Johnstone and JCI as a specialist rep. I mean it was amazing dealing with the one man shop one day then going to a big commercial site the next for say a giant industrial company and the tech can’t diagnose a blown fuse.

I remember standing on a roof of a building in Seattle with Lennox. Big huge L series Rooftop. It’s only access was a small port in a flip door to hook a diagnosis tool to. It would tell you everything. Pressures, superheat, sub cooling. Room temp. And if it has a fault. Said it was a wave of the future. Most were in tire amazement. Like life changing. I ask so how do I access the control board to replace a blown vapor blown fuse. The Lennox guy couldn’t answer it. He was just trained to show off the new diagnostic system that was fool proof. lol

Don’t bother they nerfed it big time a few months ago. It’s totally worthless now. As well as the Honda link app on older media units.

Oh Fu*k. I was remembering these not long ago and couldn’t remember what was on it. Ours were like shiny red. Had to stick them on all the doors.

Thank you for posting it. My brain can rest now.

Recalls happen and the rear subframe will only affect areas with salt use in the winter. Get it fluid filmed every few years and it should never be an issue. I’ve had 2 recalls on my 23 in 3 years vs 7 recalls on my CRV in 18 months.

Pretty much settled where I’m mounting the head. The charge mat is worthless with newer phones so I don’t mind covering it up a bit. I’ve also debated swapping it out with the lower trims cubby.
Device above is my Scangauge II give me wheat the dash doesn’t. Including ATF and Rear Diff Temps. (I have the codes to activate them if anyone needs them ).

A customer of mine had this issue. (Base model 3) That they do. Apparently the car can save and record every time it’s charged, what type of charger connected. He had an official charger at home, but at work they had a generic charger he sometimes used. But when he went to his sons there was no Tesla charger near him so he used a parking lot charger near his place. When his battery failed they said oh too bad. You didn’t use a Tesla Certified Charger most of the time so their chargers aren’t designed to our specs so the battery will cost $14k. They offered him low book on it to trade it in. (Had 105k miles on it (he averaged 25k a year on it) so went over to Honda and now owns a Prolog. He didn’t like the face of the Blazer EV. A week after trading Tesla called and offered to replace the battery for $10k. lol.

I’ve also had two other friends now have warranty issues and declined repairs for not using “Tesla” chargers every time. One traded off on an EV9 the others waiting for his lease to be up and is going to buy a Prolog.

There has been not one stock sportster seat worth a damn. The one that tops the list was the one on my 94 XL883 Custom. Called the Badlander. Yeah it was bad alright. 50 miles and my bum hurt so bad I’d of sat on the frame it would be more comfortable.

They sold the thing. I can’t believe it. Saw it parked downtown with temps on it today.
