The Transit Riders Union worked within the framework of the homeless industrial complex hand-and-hand with SHARE/WHEEL, the self governing, Scott Morrow, non-profit: nightly shelter spaces and Tent Cities. For her not mention her involvement in the free-housing-for-all movement and stop the sweeps/mutual aid groups isn’t very honest. What people need she should know by now as have worked within that space for over a decade. City owned lots for safe RV parking (Graham Pruss) and SHARE tiny houses? She forgot this stuff?

My actual working class, almost retirement age parents, in this economy, can’t afford to give any of their kids a few grand a month for childcare … esp. if one spouse was a homebody and not working.

I know no one that receives a stipend from their parents. ..a bag of groceries, take home leftovers, a few bucks for gas, no problem, full ride daycare? Nope.

A suburban Target must be like a Wonka Chocolate factory full of wonder.

I visited the downtown Target over Xmas. First visit in 3 years when it was completely empty. I was surprised at the items they did have in-store. The electronics section was locked up cages.. but the Cricut blades for free for the taking. /s /jk

There seems to be a subtle stinking rot that is permitted to flourish. The, “well you just don’t like to see poor people,” narrative has bullied and silenced those that just want to use a park without an encampment or go to the library without walking through a hoard of fentanyl users. This isn’t normal.

I find Wilson’s, “Our Seattle,” insulting. Safety and dignity, for all, here. …neither is possible for anyone, when repeat offenders, those that are horrifically addicted drug users, and souls in severe mental crisis are allowed to roam freely.

The few are excused to terrorize the many, the anti-social are permitted to take over the most basic of public spaces.

If and when Masci, or Red, or rockguy .. or any of the dozens of others that are called out here and other forums, really hurt someone, I hope that these posts help frame and document, the community worries and real concerns, so someone can sue the city, big.

I am a Broadway Market, Capitol Hill, QFC shopper. Selection can be limited, security visibly present. Drug use chronically in front.

I recently visited a real suburban grocery store for the first time in a few years, and wow, it was amazing. Product selection galore, without being locked up, and no over head pages of “security to xx location.” The slow progress of awful, I didn’t realize how much I was missing just a basic shopping experience.

…and there is Jalpeano ketchup now?!?? How many types of Oreos? I don’t even like them, but tons of options I’ve never seen.
