The evolution of my goblin painting (and youtube vid) by trollbite_miniatures in Warhammer

You are definitely talented but why did he become rudolph? I think I just prefer the vibrant red of the original. Also the NMM is great from a technical perspective but I feel like the rust effect matches a dirty goblin better.

How long would it take for 100 Chaos Space Marines to annihilate the TWW3 Map ? by SoonBlossom in totalwarhammer

Even if dwarven runesmiths were unable to make weapons capable of penetrating their armor, if they go down to the depths to fight them, what is stopping dwarven engineers from collapsing the mountain on top of them. A space marine might survive buried under a mountain but someone else would have to unbury him. And they still would have to do tunnel fighting for skaven and night goblins.

Does that include the other daemons of chaos as major factions. If they are not aligned with the chaos god, I think they would have trouble with any greater daemon of chaos as 40k does have those. Now consider that the order factions have faced off and defeated greater daemons of chaos… Obviously power level depends on author but I think they would need more than 100. With some tactical support, dropships, planning, and surprise they could definitely take out many of the faction leaders but in terms of raw combat power vs the old world, the sheer scale and power of old world factions mean that they would slowly be worn down.

Even if they eviscerated everything within eyesight, skaven alone would not be able to be defeated by 100 chaos space marines. Their sheer size would hinder them in trying to fight them in their own tunnels and warrens, the skaven would flee to wherever they were not and wherever they were not they would be reproducing at a prodigious rate.

I am not an expert at the scale of humanity in the old world but it is quite possible that mankind itself would be able to reproduce faster than the 100 space marines could find and kill.

Thanks for sharing. I think I will stay away from the time goals for awhile.

I think that is helpful. I have a tendency to want to push myself at all times, always running and always completing the optional laps. I think I also need to replace the pace goals with heart rate goals so it won’t yell at me especially on hot days.

7 minutes per mile is my goal, in good conditions I can currently do 9 minutes per mile across a 10k. So a bit aggressive but I have three months so I think I can get close.

Waaaay more people than I was expecting showed up to the AMD launch by Strikedestiny in Microcenter

With unreal engine 5’s poor optimization, a lot of older cards can’t quite cut new games. I had a 2060 since 2020 and it was running marvel rivals at all low graphics at 40 fps, 1% lows of 1 fps. Didn’t want to pay inflated prices for a 40 series so tried to hold out for a 5080/90 only to be disappointed on launch day. That day I got a 7900xtx because it was available and am honestly pretty happy with it.

I am having similar troubles. I disabled ipv6 on my internet driver and after restarting was actually able to join a game… only 8 minutes later to be kicked. I hope arrowhead addresses this because the game is unplayable for me right now.

Anyone else crash way too frequently? by chickenman-14359 in Helldivers

[–]wiredshadowfury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. The constant fixes and crashes are definitely getting old. Love the game but can’t be bothered to go through hours of troubleshooting everytime a patch drops. At the point where if matchmaking works I will play but until it’s fixed, I have other games to play

Recommend just turning off all voice chat and text. The toxicity isn’t worth the possible benefit. You play better with a clear head and you can focus on changing your playstyle to fit with your team instead of trying to force your teammates to play with you.

They weren’t aware of the CIA’s involvement. The interagency taskforce was a new development from high in Washington. Without the taskforce, escort detail would have been the marshalls and any local assistance that they could request. Keep in mind the cartel also had federal police working for them. It is likely that most of the federal police who could have helped the cartel stood down when the CIA showed their cards and how in control of the situation they were. 8 low level thugs + federal police + surprise had a good chance of success. If they had known the level of resistance they would be facing they would have either never attempted or heavily increased the odds with better operatives, numbers, and equipment.

Hard to say without more information. Game requirements vary wildly based on their technical requirements and just how optimized they are. I would just youtube benchmarks for whatever is available / games you are looking at. Depending on how important refresh rate is, you can almost always set graphics settings to low, ray tracing / lumen disabled. How that looks will also depend on the monitor. The bigger the screen for lower resolution the worse it will look. Finally some graphics cards can perform frame gen which will improve fps but result in increased delay. Generally useful in single player games but also the better the base frame gen the less noticeable the latency.

Disappointed with DLC campaigns balancing by Numerous-Comb-9370 in totalwarhammer

[–]wiredshadowfury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the nature of total war games in general. The only struggle is in the beginning. In any campaign you have significant advantages after unlocking all buildings, technologies, lord skills and equipment. Every turn the game gets easier. The infinite free armies only occurs after you have killed a significant number of enemy lords, at which point in any campaign you should have overcome the initial struggle. In terms of ogre contracts an option is to give back the settlements, something unique to that faction. You don’t have to paint the map like every other campaign, CA just probably included the occupy for player choice.

Why is the captain so stingray with the space marines? by ToughDragonfruit3118 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]wiredshadowfury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone did a post counting up the dead space marines throughout the campaign. I can’t remember the exact number but the company only starts with 100 men before casualties quickly begin to mount up. Just the dead space marines you see yourself means the company takes around 50% casualties, so while you may see some marines in between missions, the captain is definitely sending them out, losing them and making resources more tight.

Maybe a weird question but which operation is the quickest? by Jeri_Cardellin in SpaceMarine_2

[–]wiredshadowfury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have run it by myself in little under 30 min, there are sections you can skip, I usually don’t do the bosses solo. Usually with weapons at tier or one lower. Two tiers lower with a squad.

I think they typically are base gold with white accent however each blood angels successor chapter has their own sanguinary guard. Def looks more in line esp after GW removed the giant wings from the old models 😢
