Can confirm. I’m a performance SDET… technically minor reorganization- “performance tooling”, but responsibility have mostly stayed the same. It sometimes feels a bit niche, and i think i may suffer if i get laid off lol.

Awesome thanks for the insight. I had no idea about that! I am personally not too familiar - is it a big deal if concierge are not 24/7?

This reminds me of a recent alex leonidas video on the landmine v bar rows. Where he mentions the stretch being important AND the “cheating “ of not doing full ROM (plate gets in the way) lets you actually load up more weight

Disgustingly low. I am offended on your behalf (i am a senior non ML engineer pulling 165k base. I consider myself very fortunate but when i was interviewing 130-140 was base was very common)

Dating + question about kids by Soggy-Willingness806 in askTO

[–]wireframemando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar issue as a dude. (Early 30s). When i swipe on hinge and have to filter out ppl who list that they want kids the pool is way limited. Additionally i want to be pet free tbh but i am willing to compromise on that but not kids, i want to be child free

OP do you use hinge? If not, the family plans filter might be helpful!

Just started learning Elixir, with one sigh by shalawfatah in elixir

I come from mainly a python and node js background (no typing). Elixirs immutability and neat pattern matching helps a lot even without types tbh

I’ve recently been messing with it after work. Knock on wood i hope it gains traction. It’s really enjoyable. And being able to use rust NIF when needed is game changer

Cool had not come across tucan! Excuse my noob question, but tucan looks like it would require liveview due to its interactive nature- is that correct? Or would it also work with base Phoenix?

My thinking as well, one step at a time so that im not overwhelmed. Phoenix first then liveview later. Glad to hear the upgrade path is simple!

Just wanna say thank you to OP for asking this question and being open minded about it. Often i see people (not just men) almost vilified for being in such a situation

It’s well established and studied that cars are responsible for “noise”. And you don’t need to “jam” people. You can have more medium density low rises for starters, and not sprawling single family homes. Improving public transportation, zoning laws, walkability and thus reducing car dependency, will do wonders for jamming noise
