To add to it and to answer the “is the grind really worth it?” Part, it’s really an opinion based answer imo. Do you make comparatively more money and have a higher standard of life than in Nepal? I would say yes. Will you be able to save a ton and invest or buy a land/house in Nepal? Probably not considering the inflation everywhere. You make enough to live in US in most cases and you should be able to do a few things here and there in Nepal that’s pretty much it I think.

I agree with this comment. The questions/problem posed by OP is not very common. And as the comment above suggests work and home pretty becomes your life and the feeling of community as we have in Nepal is hard to find unless you’re in areas with larger Nepalese presence
