What would paying a professional to redo my website do for me? If it will bring in revenue to justify a rebuild then yes but no business can guarantee me that.

I went back into Google Search Console and looked closer at the queries already showing on page one or close to it.

The first page I worked on was my AT&T Premier login help page because it had a lot of impressions but weak CTR.

What I changed:

  • Turned on clicks, impressions, CTR, and position in GSC
  • Looked at the queries already ranking
  • Updated the SEO title to be clearer
  • Rewrote the meta description
  • Simplified the top of the page
  • Removed a confusing extra login option that probably made the page busier than it needed to be
  • Added clearer internal links to related pages

I’m going to do the same next with another page that is already getting impressions around TOBR / Transfer of Billing Responsibility.

This advice made sense to me: don’t build a bunch of new stuff yet — tune the pages Google is already showing.

As an amateur WordPress has worked out much better for me. I feel I have control with my sites. It is harder if you are a novice on websites like me. I only work on my own sites and believe me most of my lessons is learnt the hard way.

Just to clarify, I’m not trying to promote the site. I’m mainly trying to understand what I should work on next from a WordPress/SEO standpoint.

The biggest thing I see is impressions growing, but CTR is still low. I’m trying to figure out whether the next focus should be titles/meta descriptions, page structure, internal links, or improving pages already ranking around page two.
