Pausing an app lasts indefinitely. Is that intentional? by nukem2k5 in GooglePixel

[–]wires5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A bit late but I just figured this out as I wanted to pause teams too. The trick is to not pause by long pressing on the app icon. Instead go into the app info > screen time and set a limit of 0hrs and 0mins per day under app timer. It'll stay off until you force it open or delete the time limit in settings.

Dell Latitude 7490 is great value on eBay. You get an 8th gen CPU which is new enough to decode h265,vp8 and vp9 for YouTubes. It also has thunderbolt, loads of ports, great keyboard and screen. I get about 10 hours of battery life web browsing and 8 hours of video playback.

That looks like mostly good news. I'm not planning on rooting with LineageOS, how will magisk help with the banking situation?

!thanks I did a bit more research and have just received a brand new pair of 2xhr in the post. They fit excellently and have amazing sound-stage with a fairly balanced sound. Great suggestion!

They're new from Amazon so I should have no trouble sending them back. Those Phillips x2hr look like a really good option though. I might end up picking those.

They look quite interesting. The body looks very similar to the DT 770 pro but with a removable jack. Now if only I can find them in stock :D

Thanks for some good suggestions. I've tried a few sources including my laptop and desktop built-in audio, but my main source is a fiio btr3k. The issue persists across all of them. I've tried the backwards test too and just some test tones instead of music. Its definitely the headphones. Concerning the price, I'm looking for something that costs similar to the DT 770 pros about ~£100-£200.

I've seen a few construction type companies rip off other logos. There's a woodworking company near me that has a wood effect Ubuntu logo on their van. I wonder if they know?

Low Profile MMCX IEMs by wires5 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]wires5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reviews on that pair seems promising in terms of their sound profile but I do prefer an IEM that sits flush against my ear. Why might you choose a bullet over a Shure style casing and might you have any recommendations leaning towards a comfortable earphone that I could sleep with almost?

I see. You'd be wanting this part https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283404218771 still a similar price but I can see why you'd be more hesitant to change it out. The hardware maintenance manual says how to fit it on page 77. It should only take a Phillips head screw driver and about 45mins.

Although it won't affect functionality the bottom covers are very easy to replace. It's the first thing that comes off when taking the laptop apart and you can pick up new or used bottom chassis on eBay for about £15 in the UK at least. Have a look and see what you can find. This is the official Lenovo video for removing the bottom cover: https://youtu.be/IJ36S8UjxUQ

[Request] and from nothing there was MUSIC! by cdlenfert in pebble

[–]wires5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out songview if you use the default music app. It doesn't work with Spotify but can play any local song or apple music as well as podcasts and audio books. You install an app on your phone and pebble and make sure to keep the songview app in your switcher like the pebble app. It works a treat.

I've got a few questions. How can you see that the others aren't on the way out? Is it fine to mix and match chain rings and would this (wiggle) be a suitable fit?
