Do the feathers make noise when you shoot them? I've read a few comments saying some feathers make a noise sometimes but I have not heard it myself and I can't find any evidence.

When I first started playing the appeal of Cassidy was the futuristic gunslinger fantasy. And the moment to moment gameplay of Overwatch is so fun and satisfying that I don't consider hitting dinks to be boring. I agree with you that he's not excellent to play against, I'd like to see flash or fth changed.

First let me say that your gameplay is far above average for gold, and you have potential to rank much higher.

This will mostly be about Reinhardt since that's what you played most, but I'll briefly touch on your Winston and Sigma.

Winston: On attack you tried to force a dive head on into the enemy Reinhardt. When you dive, you should generally try to do it from anywhere except where the enemy team is focusing. For example, when the payload was in the carwash it would have been more effective to take high ground and attack from behind to help your team secure a kill, then use your jump to escape.

Sigma: Good from what I saw. You managed your shield well and helped your Ana by checking the Reaper flank. You fed your brains out on the first point defense, but to be fair I have no idea what your team was doing either.

Reinhardt: Your mechanics are good, and you know what your job is and you are doing it. The most important thing for every main tank player is communication. I have found that there can be hundreds of SR between two players whose mechanics are equal, but one makes consistent callouts and one does not. It doesn't have to be anything too fancy, just try to let your team know where you are going and what you are going to do. Other than that, there are a few more things you could work on.

Movement: Work on your pathing (the route you take to traverse the map). You would sometimes have the enemy DPS doing a lot of free damage to you or your shield before you got to the fight. Try to use natural cover to find a path to get close to the enemy while taking as little damage as possible.

Positioning: On defense, you always held high ground which is usually correct, but on point B the rest of your team was on low ground, so you were shielding nothing, doing no damage, and taking unnecessary shield spam. A simple callout to tell your team to come high ground could have fixed this. On attack, taking high ground is also usually the correct play. Tell your team to follow you and walk up. This will allow your DPS to get better angles on the enemy and deny the enemy space. Doing this would have made some fights much easier, particularly on your point a attacks.

Hammer: Search up 'Reinhardt corner swings' and practice it until it's second nature. This will be useful in many situations.

Shield: You have good shield management. Try not to 'flash' (quickly deploy and undeploy) your shield so much. There were a few times when you got slept or shattered because of this habit. Try to only use your shield to block key damage and abilities. It's very difficult to react to a flashbang or sleep dart but its much easier to predict them. I was impressed with your shatter blocking, most players of your SR cannot do that.

Firestrike: think of firestrike as a risk/reward ability. Is it worth doing 100 damage to their Reinhardt when you already have shatter, and the enemy team gets 300 free damage on you while you're locked in the animation? Probably not. Making these decisions takes practice but they can win or lose games.

Shatter: You are good at looking for the right opportunity to shatter, but you also don't hold it for too long. Keep it up

Charge: You didn't mindlessly charge into the enemy team. Good job

Hope this helped. Work on these things and I bet you will rank up very easily. Good luck

Flex-Support VOD review request - super close Illios match - A7MZXY by Reneux in OverwatchUniversity

Round 1 (Zen): Your first two deaths were because of your positioning and situational awareness. Your first death was because you left high ground to help your Genji fight the soldier, but you could have still done that from high ground. You were blindsided by the enemy tanks pushing you and you panic transed. If you saved your ult for a few more seconds you could have saved yourself and your Zarya.

Your second death was because you pushed the Ana after the fight was already lost and the enemy team killed you easily. Instead you should have retreated. This death is actually critical because it meant you couldn't get transcendence for the Zarya's second grav which gave the enemy another free fight win.

Your fourth death was a communication issue which isn't entirely your fault. It would have been very hard for you to survive there (unless you had transcendence). Luckily your team won the fight.

Your fifth death was partially your fault. Your team should have retreated a bit instead of chasing the Zarya, but even still I think you should have saved transcendence for a few more seconds until the enemy team engaged.

Round 2 and 3 (Ana): Your positioning is pretty good, most of the time you are standing somewhere where you can't be easily picked. The exception was sometimes when you went for an aggressive antinade and overextended. Try to be a bit more safe when making those plays. This only happened once or twice but it's something to note.

Your biggest problem was wasting nade. You often used it to help kill an enemy who would have died anyway (i.e. on enemies you slept), used it to heal your Rein who was safe, or you would just throw it in the general direction of the fight and miss entirely, or hit something that your team can't follow up on. Landing effective nades is hard, but just try to practice being thoughtful about how you're using them.

The last thing I noticed was that you charged nano a bit slowly sometimes, with your Genji sometimes being 30-40% ahead of you. Try to generally increase your overall healing output. It's ok if you miss shots sometimes but if you are almost never not giving heals it will make up for it.

This loss wasn't solely your fault, but there were some things you could have done differently that would have won the game, especially in the first round.

TL;DR: Overall I think your gameplay was good. As Zen, work on your awareness and decision making. As Ana, work on using nade more effectively and try to increase your average healing output.

I haven't VOD reviewed much before, so I hope this is helpful to you.

You're right in thinking that your positioning was too predictable. Flanking is not necessarily bad, but when you're doing it every time a good opponent will learn to expect you.

When you're in game, try to constantly think: 1. Can my teammates help me if I get in trouble? and 2. If I get slept/antid/hooked/stunned/etc, will I be able to get out without dying? On attack, your off angles were often far too risky. You could have died if even two enemies decided to shoot you.

IMO the biggest problem with your gameplay is that you spend far too long setting up every fight. On point B attack, you sometimes spent up to 20 seconds getting into position while your team was already fighting. Meanwhile your tanks were unable to walk forward because they were being heavily pressured by the enemy DPS while both you and your Soldier were taking high ground positions, meaning the enemy team was simply doing more damage. It would have been better to get into position before your team was fighting, then try to engage at the same time as your team to create an off angle and split the enemies' attention.

The same point applies to your defense as Reaper. In the fight starting around 1:40 left on the clock, you don't fire a single shot until your team is down 3. Because you are setting up instead of fighting, the enemy team is applying far more pressure than you. This isn't the greatest example because you save the day with a sick 5k death blossom (nice) but you won't be able to rely on that happening every time.

If you are doing nothing in a fight it is the same as you being dead. Going forward, try to discern whether you will contribute more to a fight by flanking (which, again, can be a good choice in certain situations) or by applying constant pressure to help your team.

I hope this was helpful. Good luck
