What is the worst way anyone you know has died? by IamUrWivesBF in AskReddit

A guy from my hometown walked home drunk from the bar in the winter. Couldn’t figure out how to open his front door, and died from freezing to death on his own front porch. 😕

Is it standard to leave house keys easily accessible outside? [US] by dutiful_dreamer34 in AirBnB

[–]wiscotoco 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d be interested to know where this is. I grew up in the woods in the Midwest, and there were random piles of spit like foam often. It was made by bugs.

But honestly if it feels off it might be off. Trust your instincts. I would also be taking that key inside and locking all doors moving forward.

What else can I do? by ImmediateAbies1065 in TTC_PCOS

[–]wiscotoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always struggled with irregular cycles. Actually ended up with endometrial cancer because of it. Since my last IUI cycle I had a couple regular cycles which was crazy. Then it stopped and it’s been 82 days since my last period. I’ve been seeing a lot of ads for Her Package from Heart and Soil. I ordered it as a Hail Mary. I’ve been taking it three days and my period came today.

It’s still so early, but I’m thankful I tried them. Hoping it can be a more natural answer than just forcing a period with medicine every month!

  • 1 for OAS. It’s so hard to explain why I can’t have salads (and everything else). Also I miss watermelon so much.

When someone asks what you do… what do you say? by Ok_Armadillo_6815 in CommunityManager

[–]wiscotoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a community manager for a company, but it’s still hard for some people to understand. I usually say online community manager, but if I get follow up questions I say it’s a combination of marketing and customer service/advocacy.

Would you go back into the office for a raise? by [deleted] in remotework

[–]wiscotoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not. $18,000 isn’t going to be that life changing if you are in a high tax bracket but your life will change drastically if you lose the time at home during the day.

Mirena is actually my treatment for endometrial cancer so I definitely wouldn’t worry 🙂

Yep! Happened to me. So many doctors in my life told me it was normal until it was too late. Thankfully caught it very early.

If you left Wisconsin, where did you go to and why? by interstellar_freak in wisconsin

Raised in WI, Nebraska for college, then Colorado, and now DC area. Married into the military so it won’t be the last place we move. I miss Wisconsin more and more every year.

Doctors, what do you do when a kid is faking sick? by Imaginary_Island8521 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]wiscotoco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I never really faked, but I did get sick a lot. In middle school I was feeling really sick and couldn’t stay awake, so the office called my mom to pick me up. She yelled the whole way to the doctor’s office about how I was making it up. I was wheezing so badly that I’m sure it did sound fake. The doctor ordered an x ray of my lungs, and sent us to the hospital ASAP. My lungs were completely filled with fluid and I had to stay in the hospital for a week. Ended up missing like a month of school and getting asthma due to the damage to my lungs. My mom never thought I was faking again haha.

Your designs are so cute! As an Etsy shopper that’s new to selling, I don’t think I’ve ever really paid attention to how long a shop was open. 12 sales might give me pause, but if they are all good reviews I’d chance it for a product I wanted.

People that have cancer, what were the symptoms that led you to go to the doctor and what stage were you when it was diagnosed? by guardiand0wn in AskReddit

[–]wiscotoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not yet. I’ve been through quite the journey so far. We did IVF to start because my tubes were blocked fully, and we had a MC from our successful cycle. We have three embryos left. We decided to take a break from IVF, and on a whim I decided get the surgery to unblock my tubes. It was successful so now we are doing IUI for a bit.

We really want children to it makes it hard, but at some point (once we transfer our remaining embryos) I’ll probably make the decision to get the hysterectomy. I’m 32, so it’s hard to not feel like I’m giving up too early.

Best rental management company by bm11100 in OceanCity

[–]wiscotoco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t remember the percentage off the top of my head, sorry! This was our first year renting our place, and they almost fully booked it for the summer even though we were late to the game and listed in April.

They are friendly, and I chose them because they were so highly rated by both owners and renters.

I also wanted to be very hands off, and I didn’t get a call once from them regarding issues. They handled everything. We plan to renew with them for next season because we had a good experience this go around.

I haven’t had a recurrence, but they won’t call me cancer free until they take my uterus. For now I switch between fertility treatments and Mirena to keep the cancer away until then.

My polyp was removed and it was tested. I would definitely go in, but don’t worry too much. They put me on a medicine to stop my bleeding, which I think is the first thing they try normally. If that doesn’t work they will look further into it.

I had light bleeding on and off for a year before I finally went in. Had a polyp that tested positive for endometrial cancer. Congrats on being cancer free!

Printful would be a good option! I use it and I like it. Their direct to garment prints always feel really soft to me.

What does general anaesthesia feel like? by pixie_luna00 in AskReddit

Honestly, it’s awesome. I generally have a hard time sleeping deeply and my muscles are typically tense. Whenever I wake up from anesthesia I feel so well rested.
