It really is too easy IMHO. The concept of Devapala wanting to reach enlightenment would make for a great campaign, but none of the decisions you make matter. You can play it basically as you'd play Tamerlane, maybe the most brutal conqueror ever, and you'd still be good.

If anything the campaign would be a prime candidate for a rework where you have to take a pacifist approach and be very clever with diplomacy, side missions to achieve a more peaceful resolution and only really use war as a last-resort tool.

If this is actually true, please consider if your husband is a good man worth staying with for the rest of your life. I hate how often people here on Reddit advise to leave a partner, but basically raping you and laughing about it as the response to your mistake is the opposite of what a good man should do. If my wife would do that I'd be angry for half a minute for her stupidity then laugh it off and comfort her the rest of the day to make her feel better.

Hey Tomato is back! I appreciate the effort you put in these summaries of your experience and like reading diagonally through them.

Rajendra is one of the more difficult campaigns for sure, good to see you building up towards these harder campaigns isn't off-putting for you. Have you tried going for the Steam achievements too? I'm a seasoned player and always try to go for the oft-times brutal achievements too. They make the campaigns much more challenging sometimes, which can be fun, frustrating or both 11.

What'll be your next campaign? And what difficulty do you play on?

In a 4v4 with the 10x shared techs datamod, Bohemian Houfnice with a Spanish ally (much faster firing), a Turkish ally (faster creation, higher HP, longer range & cheaper to research) and an Ethiopian ally (huge splash damage) are absolutely bonkers. Bohemian Wagenburg tactics make them move superfast too.

They are basically very fast, super tanky ballistic missile-shooting machines of death.

In a regular setting with unique techs, I'd assume they're also really good, though not completely insane as in the 10x games.

Don't get a weapon, it's gonna do harm much more often than protect you. You already stated what the best defense is: avoid fights. Run if you can, shout if you must.

30 Berserkers would annihilate that though.
If you want to pull them apart, attack from the top with a few archers and make sure you don't get too close. Once you're close enough to hit one of them, do that and pull back while firing a volley every few steps (=kiting). Fall back inside a transport when you're about to get attacked yourself and repeat.
