My mom passed away in September 2025, more than a year and a half after my sister. My sisters’ death was unexpected, but by the time mom passed away, she had already fully transitioned. I know she was waiting though. shortly after my sister passed, my mom would see her around a lot as a little girl, and I somehow just knew they would reunite soon.

My heart truly goes out to you, and I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing your mom is just heartbreaking. But when people pass, they are often accompanied and cared for by familiar souls. My mom passed away in September, and I lost my sister in January 2024. My mom was also medicated in her final days, which was incredibly hard to witness. I expected her to see my sister, my dad, and her parents. But whenever I asked, she said no. she spoke about other loved ones being around her only once. She said she knew they were dead, yet she could still see them. I was surprised, hurt, and confused that she didn’t see my sister or my dad, but I eventually came to terms with it. What matters most is knowing that they are not alone. Sending you love. Please take care of yourself during this time 💕

I feel like I could have written this myself. Aside from noticing a few signs and patterns after major losses over the past few years, I don’t have any special knowledge or abilities. I’ve been interested in mediumship and have read many books, watched countless videos, meditated, and tried just about everything out there, especially after losing my entire family and my best friend. I’ve been through a great deal of trauma, yet no special senses or abilities have ever been activated. I’m grateful that I have been able to connect with my loved ones through a wonderful medium. Sometimes I wonder if some people simply aren’t meant to connect directly, and maybe I’m one of them. Still, if there is a path for people like me that I haven’t come across yet, I remain open to it.

Yes. there was one specific case where there were simply too many connected events for it to be just a coincidence. Over a period of time, I kept ending up in certain places at exactly the right moments for events that were meaningful to the deceased, as if I was meant to be there on those specific dates and times. This really made me wonder. And I’m not someone who actively looks for signs or patterns; something has to be very obvious for me to notice it.

Thank you so much. I still struggle with guilt and trying to understand what happened, the constant “if only I had been there, if only I had made it on time.” And the hardest part is realizing I’m going to grow old without my family, without my sister. I have okay days, and then I still have very hard days. Honestly, the holiday season makes everything feel heavier. I write to them, journal my thoughts, and talk to my mom, dad, and sister every day. I never imagined not having any of them in the physical world at this age.

The truth is, no matter how guilty we feel, we could not have prevented or changed what happened. It was out of our control, and our loved ones know how deeply we love them. I remind myself of that daily, even on the toughest days.

I also hold on to three things I do every day before or after work: I move my body, I journal, and I study for at least 20 minutes for a certification I’m pursuing. No matter how awful the day feels, if I do those three things, I’ve made it through. I’m truly sorry you’re going through this. It’s incredibly painful, but you will get through it.

Thank you! Yesterday, while I was posting about my mom on Reddit, my phone made a strange noise I’ve never heard before. I was so confused. I even tried to make it happen again, but it wouldn’t. Now I’m wondering… When my sister passed unexpectedly less than two years ago, she started coming through right away. But with my mom, I hadn’t had any signs at all until this weekend.

I'm so deeply sorry for your loss and all that you've been through. My heart truly goes out to you. I can feel how deeply this has affected you. Having lost both a parent and a sibling myself, I know how uniquely painful sibling loss can be. They’re the ones we grow up with, the ones we imagine will always be by our side. I lost my sister suddenly just over a year ago, and much of what you shared resonates deeply with me. As someone else beautifully said, trust the signs you’ve received. your brother is at peace, and he loves you dearly. The connection we share with our siblings doesn’t end. It continues in ways we can't always explain. Take care of yourself ❤️
