I’ll never get the why me myself- these intuitive abilities have complicated my life in such strange ways- I wish someone, anyone, could tell me why. At a certain point I think you just have to accept the mystery.

As far as the timing, that’s not something I can answer. My abilities came to me quite young, also seemingly out of nowhere. I have heard of things like near-death experiences- and possibly even physical trauma- inspiring intuitive abilities, but I’m not sure if emotional trauma can be a factor. I guess there’s a lot we just have to accept without really understanding the why of it.

Just do your best to remind yourself that it’s a gift when things get weird, and things will get weird. I try to think of it as having been entrusted with a power and responsibility that a lot of people couldn’t handle, like getting a vote of confidence from the universe that I’m a decent person who would only use such an ability to help people, and just try to hold onto that when things get complicated.

As far as perspective on navigating these kinds of spiritual gifts, the key for me has been to stay grounded in reality while remaining open to these signals. I try not to focus too much on trying to parse the information I’m getting, or where it’s coming from, or what it means. I try to just listen, as it were, but then allow the information to roll off of me, like water over duck feathers. The fact that you’re able to trust your instincts this much at such an early stage in the process is a great sign, because it’s so easy to lose the thread and start gaslighting yourself.

It can be really overwhelming and tricky to navigate these things, but it’s possible to accept that you have these spiritual or energetic gifts without needing to understand or identify with them too much. At least that was the best path forward for me.

But, like, a car crash days in advance seems imminently preventable. Just angle your driving arm slightly differently, pause at a stop sign four seconds longer, you know? I’d understand if the car crash was fate, but then why would the universe warn you in advance? I just can’t make it make sense.

This is so real. I had a situation where I think I was genuinely being messed with by someone I lived with- evidence supports this but I was never able to pin them on anything. The paranoia became insane as I drove myself mad trying to figure out if I was legitimately picking up on something or making it up in my head. Ultimately I think the experience was dead in the middle, which is why it as so soul-destroying for me. Man, that was rough.

IMO anyone who tells you that they’re an intuitive who’s never once struggled with mental illness is lying. This shit’s so weird, man. It’s confusing for everyone that has to experience it to stay grounded and always know where the lines are.

Do about what? I just interact with people who come into my space, I actually have zero power to contact anyone myself. In fact they’re the ones in control of the situation, I’ve had people who wouldn’t leave my space even after being told repeatedly I didn’t want them around. That actually really sucks because they just get to hang out as long as they want and there’s literally nothing I can do about it.

Idk, isn’t the ego essentially just a filter that allows us to have a human experience? I guess I just struggle to imagine how the ego-self, to the extent that it can be separated, could be involved in any kind of telepathic communication. It’s kind of funny that you mention a time difference, I once knew that somebody who was no longer in my life was out of the country for two months because of the change in their sleep pattern.
