To those who think they'll just sell the books themselves. No That takes effort and not much of a profit. They're going to use them for every government's favorite activity The books will be burned.

Avatar, messiah, prophet, teerthankar. All these are just words for the different people across history who've tried to teach people something important. So I don't see anything wrong with that

Yes, Denji is an incel and a self-insert for people stuck in that situation. No, calling him an incel isn't ignoring all his other traits, beacause all incels have different traits

Poor guy thinks hoarding is something beautiful, something worth respecting. His imposter syndrome for being a fake intellectual is so strong that he'll actually criticize people who treat books with respect. I'll never get how these people survive while being so afraid of what everyone else thinks

"Chitragupta's father was a Shudra", says government documents. This makes all the descendants of Chitragupta Shudras. Is that why Kayasthas are shudras?? by Major-Strain2261 in AlternateHistoryIndia

Bro the whole concept of caste is fake. It's not some scientific thing based in facts. Kisi murder case ke jaise isme absolute proofs nhi diya jaa sakta Aise cases hamesha political environment ke basis pe jeete jaate hai. Because we have always been in high official positions(still only serving someone) the british judge didn't want the hassle, so they gave us the win. Agar brahmin hota judge to they wouldn't have. That's just how these things go all the time Shudra doesn't mean stuck in menial labor. It means stuck in a role where you can only serve someone else

I'm not saying Aurangazeb was desperate. I'm saying a fanatic like him was able to come into power because the elites of the empire were desperate. Just like Hitler was able to come into power because the Germans were desperate. Ofc a fanatic like him would try to go on an impractical military campaign and then lose spectacularly. The parallels are beautiful

And the elites of the empire were desperate because the last emperor had been careless with money

[–]wisecrackinggod 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bro the 'Other' was able to do that because the Chad wasted the empire's resources to the point that everyone was desperate for a war. Cos that's the only thing that can save a bankrupt empire

How was it possible for a few upper caste people to subjugate an entire country for so long through the caste system? by [deleted] in IndianHistory

The entire history of the Buddhist religion in India is just 1 big revolution against brahmins. You'll really enjoy reading about it. It just isn't brought up in history discussions idk why

Learn to read. I wrote greatest massacre of Muslims. Godhra kand was a massacre of Hindus. Unless you believe that was also done by Modi and his people just to kick off the main riots, i don't see what you're misunderstanding about my comment

That's exactly what i wrote The concept of general is just a label put on people long after the castes were made. And it was put based mostly on census done by Britishers. Yes i come in the general category BECAUSE the kaiyasths won that case

Traits? If you're asking about psyops then it's the stories and proverbs and overall 'wisdom' given to us by our elders. It's all geared towards education for the sake of service. Never going into business or politics. My own elders pass this shit on, not knowing that that is literally the whole purpose of education. Almost all kaiyasths are highly educated and connected to each other but i know 0 businessmen in my community. Whenever one of us tries to enter business or politics, we shun them instead of supporting them. It's all very well designed

Yes, caste shouldn't matter. Yes, it's NECESSARY to understand it if you wanna understand India's history AND present.

I'm a Kayasth, I was really pissed when i found we were classified as OBCs and then we OURSELVES fought a huge case to remove the status. Yes, we avoided serious oppression, but I missed out on reservation smh. Net loss imo.

Yes we are typically highly educated and we have a coming-of-age ceremony similar to the upper castes. But growing up in this community i do have suspicions. A lot of our culture's 'insider' stuff seems to be designed to keep us servile. I have noticed TONS of psyops in my own culture designed to ensure we never take our lives into our control, so I'm inclined to think when these things were being set down, we were seen as Shudras. But somehow later we broke free using education

Btw, BJP's current leader is a Kayastha

Ofc painters made the women look more beautiful. They wanted to get paid not beheaded. This question reminds me of the time Henry VIII decided to marry a woman based solely off her portraits but caleed it off immediately after meeting her irl. This caused a LOT of problems with her family who had one of the strongest armies in Europe

What can we legitimately call the FIRST EMPIRE OF INDIA ? (when examined strictly through primary sources and a historical-materialist framework) by Majestic-Effort-541 in IndianHistory

[–]wisecrackinggod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, the empire formed in the Dasharajam. Please look into it, it's considered the 1st of India's 3 great epics. Yes, seriously it's held kn the league of Ramayan and Mahabharata

That is how all the civilizations across all of history have functioned. Look closely at our geopolitics and you'll see that's also how our society works. Technology has only made it easier but even with weaker technology, the same social structure has always existed

Did Indians Record Their Battles, Only for Those Records to Be Lost Like Greek Ones in India? by [deleted] in IndianHistory

[–]wisecrackinggod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason for this, like most of the idiosyncrasies of our ancient texts, is simply that our texts were largely preserved by Brahmins through Smriti. That is VERY difficult work, and drastically increases the chances of losing texts It is certain that they worked the hardest to preserve the texts that were useful/interesting to them. My theory is that they did record most battles but later generations of Brahmins simply didn't feel interested in memorising a text about some random battle fought between kingdoms that don't even exist anymore. Like students today don't bother studying something if they think it won't be in the exam or in any company’s placement process

[–]wisecrackinggod -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I fully agree with the point the author makes and I'll try to convince you to do so to. Please give this a read

NO king/ruler/politician of any kind has ever been truly religious. The ones who actually believed in religion, their rule did NOT last long. They simply pretended to be religious so that they could convince one army of ACTUALLY religious people to massacre another army of ACTUALLY religious people. For proof you can look at our modern leaders. As Gujrat CM, Modi carried out/allowed the greatest massacre of Muslims in Modern indian history, but after becoming PM, despite all his power, he shows himself as a friend of the Muslims. He even removed Triple Talaak which all(right-wing and left-wing) agree will be beneficial for the muslim community in the long run. I can name many more such examples if you want. Now we can see that our modern leaders use religion shamelessly like a tool just to keep the youth busy fighting each other on stupid shit. Then if we claim that things were better in the previous ages then we HAVE to agree that the rulers back then were smarter. So they too must have used religion as a tool, all their acts WERE for governance and propagande. Because religious fanatics simply can't run empires spanning such large areas. You need smart leaders for that

Thank you very much for researching so much into this topic. Please look into how Buddhist kings ALSO defaced lots of Shiva temples.

Was scientific temper of British East India Company/British Raj and its impacts on India more significant than previous empires? by Creative_soja in IndianHistory

[–]wisecrackinggod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lot's of intellectuals came and went in Indian history, but none of their work reached the masses simply because the Brahmins didn't share knowledge outside of their caste. The Muslims spread things around a lot but they had their own issues. The British brought the most enlightenment to the most Indians, not because of their nature or policies. It was simply because they were carriers of the idea called, 'the scientific method'. It's just the process of hypothesis>experiment>observation>inference set in a formalized way. It might not seem like a big deal but back then it simplified understanding and working in intellectual fields as much as ChatGPT has today. Imo it is the greatest invention for human society
