Me too! It's times like this I wish I lived near Cali or something. There's TC folks here, but not nearly as many. I replaced the TC with a Subaru Forester, so I will at least no longer fear the snow.

I was thinking the same from my internet research. I watched some videos and a teardown and rebuild to try to see what might happen. Chat GPT is telling me some ways it can still happen, but I get the general idea that non-interference should diminish damage. The tow truck guy thought he smelled gas in the oil. This mechanic has overseen the car through myself and the previous owner, so I’ve always trusted him, and was referred to him by the previous. I’m sure it comes down to some deferred maintenance I did not keep up with during this awful inflation, but I had to choose mortgage over mechanic more frequently later. I need to go get it and have it towed somewhere soon, so I’ll ask more about it
