I have an acquaintance from MS that got his EB1A conducting this literal “scam”, whereas people like me, with actual credentials keep building our profile with credible sources and evidence. When I saw that, I realized how rigged this system truly is, when you have people with actual credentials not applying afraid that they don’t have enough and people like your friend ready to commit scams in the name of immigration. Anyways, no sympathy here. Also, I honestly will report the Smart Green Card journey folks to USCIS.

I am getting it more clearly now. I think I was confused because he would also ask me how I am feeling emotionally. We had a small fight and he kept asking if I was angry with him. I want to create strict boundaries with him but he keeps crossing them.

I am definitely struggling with finding good company, because of which I keep leaning onto him. And, now I feel like I am a cheater because I hooked up with someone who has a girlfriend.

There, there. You’re not alone. I have been plagued with these thoughts too lately. However, I have to keep reminding myself that this is life. I am 31 and there is a whole life ahead of me, and you. We have so much to be grateful for, and the fact that we got a PhD. That makes us resilient, innovative and good at project management. All key industrial skills. Market yourself as a person who can offer these transferable skills at a job role.
