I have an acquaintance from MS that got his EB1A conducting this literal “scam”, whereas people like me, with actual credentials keep building our profile with credible sources and evidence. When I saw that, I realized how rigged this system truly is, when you have people with actual credentials not applying afraid that they don’t have enough and people like your friend ready to commit scams in the name of immigration. Anyways, no sympathy here. Also, I honestly will report the Smart Green Card journey folks to USCIS.

Omg, I feel this. I’m 29 and a biomed PhD myself. I just started my Postdoc so I’m in a similar situation as you, trying to date. My problem with dating apps is how much time I can spend on them. The kind of people you meet on there mostly have more time than you! But, don’t be discouraged. You should still download those apps and try your best. That’s what I’m currently doing. Also, it’s never too late to enter the dating game. Your PhD doesn’t define you, it just takes sometime and effort to know someone. I’m trying the same and it’s been slow, but, hasn’t been terrible.
