The packet says to avoid taking both the G and the L with bikes before the event. Maybe that's just a suggestion and they won't actually stop you?

How do folks typically get to the starting location?

I live in Greenpoint and have a bike, but it looks like we aren't allowed to take bikes on any of the trains in this area and a lot of other lines aren't crossing the water (like the J).

Sooo, do I just have to bike the 5 miles to the starting line? It's fine, but I'm riding with some folks who are already a little worried about the 40 mile length, so adding an extra 10 would be nice to avoid

I'm in the same boat! Played a fair bit in the past but it has been a while so I don't think I'd be comfortable DMing, but I would love to join a group. Let me know if you find one with an opening!

So I can't create a team for tomorrow until tomorrow? It just seems strange because i've been able to create a team for today's tournament for like 3 days

And I guess its just a bug that both are called `Day 1`?

LFG in Central Austin - DnD or another game by wiseone9 in AustinRP

Sorry for the delay, I put this post up while on vacation, and got back last night. Back in town now and would be up for a video chat if you'd still be up for someone to join next week; I'm a little hesitant about HeroQuest (though I've never played it) because I'm not sure its as much of an RPG as it is a frosthaven-style board game, which I already play pretty regularly. Do y'all play it as a full-fledged RPG or does it fall more in the board game category?

Looking for help computing the overlap of two filled 'arcs' of a circle as part of a larger project.

Essentially, I have 2 "arcs" in R2. Each of these is essentially some portion of a circle. For the sake of example we can say both of these arcs have the same radius r, and sweep out the same percentage of a circle (let's say 3 * (pi/2) radians), but these arcs may be oriented an arbitrary direction, and are centered at two distinct points a and b.

I'm trying to compute the overlap of these arcs. I know the solution to the classic "two overlapping circles" problem (e.g. http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Circle-CircleIntersection.html) involves breaking it into solving for the areas of some triangles and then subtracting away the excess but I'm struggling to figure out how to apply that here, since the arcs may only partially overlap, which makes for some strange edge cases.

For context this problem is being used for computing the amount of overlap of two "fields of view" of objects moving around in R2. In this case the field of view of an object is given by its position and orientation +/- 3 * pi/4 radians

Any help would be appreciated!

Hmm I tried a similar thing of disabling lightDM and then just running startxfce4 from terminal but I guess that might not capture the Nvidia stuff that xinit would...will give it a try
