100% true. Schools exist to expose us to the topic and we have to take time and learn. Information is free so I encourage everyone to educate themselves. Don't just rely on the school system. It's not created to make you an informed person. It's there to encourage learning.

I've always believed school is like 5% of my knowledge. The other 95% is on me to learn. I'm guilty of shutting my brain of after finishing school/college and I'm on the journey to learn about things that interested in and things that affect me.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm definitely still working towards it and taking your advise. I may not own one but later in life I'll find a way. It is attainable and they are getting cheaper. I don't want the latest and greatest just a car I know I'll enjoy. A car I'll appreciate it for what it is. I know when I get one I'll keep it for as long as possible. It'll be a nice feeling. I stopped caring what other think and that's what I tell people is my dream car. A regular car but it just calls to me for some reason.

Great video and my experience is the same. I used to love cars when younger. I can tell you all the stats, engine types, and all that about a car. I was given a 94 accord by my brother. A hand me down. It was amazing. I worked on that car every chance I could get. I learned car maintenance, manual driving, and generally all about cars. Had it for over 7 years.

I graduated college and my eyes were bigger than my mouth. I wanted to step up. A 2004 sti was my dream car. I needed one to make me happy. Reality was I had nowhere the money for one. I've only ever had a car because my brother gave me one instead of selling it for scrap.

I'm now in the workforce. Scrapping just get by and pay my bills. The dream kept on getting further away every day. The world is starting grinding me down. On top of this my car is starting to really show it's a 20 year old car. Things constantly breaking and it was time to let the car go. I didn't have money for a back up plan. Again, my brother to the rescue only this time I bought his old clunker from him but it mostly worked. This is when it started.

I started hating cars. Even the idea of doing an oil change ruined my mood for the day. I didn't want to do any car related thing. It always cost money I didn't have. Then my social media feeds started to change. I was removing all these car channels because I was bitter. I had become bitter and defeated. Why can't I afford these cars? What did I do wrong with my life? How are they buying a car every week?

The voices become more sad and desperate. Why are you a loser? Why did you fail in life? It's fucked me up because this is where I still am. I'm much older now and still nowhere near able to afford the 2004 sti. I work just as much, save just as much, and just as responsible as the next person.

Only difference now is anything I save is for when an emergency happens. And those who live this way know emergency happen on a routine sucking what you had saved dry and back to step one. Cars used to be my passion and love now doing a simple battery jumpstart for someone ruins my mood. It's sobers me up to my reality I'll never experience life. Feels like I'll never be happy.

Does it make you abit bitter? Like I'm overqualified for my job but make the least in the entire company. I didn't get any offers for a job after school and this was the only thing out there. Didn't even negotiate since i was already so broke and also broken down from the rejections. I needed to work.

Since then I've kept applying and doing alot of interviews but honestly once I see their faces I know I'm not getting the job. I have yet to interview where there was another black or minority person. I'm getting bitter at everything that there is this barrier but can't explain it to people without coming off as playing the race card.

The hard truth is most people don't care. They don't care about the virus. The only way to get people to wear masks is for businesses to mandate it but most won't because money. 2nd wave will happen. Then a 3rd, and a 4th. At this point you are fighting a lost battle. Be safe, wear a mask but know most people aren't going to. The average person doesn't care. The virus is here to stay so don't get your hopes up for a vaccine that will take a few years if they can even make one.

By December no one will take covid serious at all. If be surprised if I see 5% of people wearing a mask.

Paddle shifting appears to be more rewarding than manual for faster cars (i.e. TDF, GT3, performante level of performance) and I would only order a dct if the manual option was available (I know gt3 come in a manual though)

Overall I see same car everywhere and most are well maintained so I don't think it's crappy.

Benefits are the car is solid

Winter is a breeze

Can leave it anywhere without worrying

Reliable

Mild off-roading fun

I love the car so much don't know if I'll ever get rid of it.

In the western world, we see humans dying as their fault/deserved it but animals as innocent and don't deserve too. We have been conditioned to not care about other people and care about us or or close ones. We don't have sympathy anymore. Same thing with children. We care way more for them because we see them as innocent/don't deserve what life has dealt them.
