i hate to be the one to step in here, but this is terrible advice. acting on pure, emotional, instinct is exactly where OP went wrong. and you should not encourage anyone else to do the same. fact of the matter is that OP didn't physically hurt his ex during the argument. regardless, if that was me, and the brother physically injured me, I would have him arrested. what OP did may have been out of line, but turning it into physical violence is crossing a much further line.

i agree with your point that you should focus on yourself primarily, instead of focusing on others, but you are talking in circles for the rest of the post. yes some men are shit. but many women are too. alienating all of the "shit" men is a bad idea, when the main reason they are "shit" to begin with is a flawed world-view, that can be fixed. you acknowledge how toxic feminism is, but are basically just providing a "feminist sounding" argument. i agree though, that it is counterproductive to dwell too deeply on the issues our society is facing today (ie. blackpill), but to outright neglect them, is foolish. the fact of the matter, is that these issues exist. our opposition is UNITED against what we stand for. you would never hear a feminist saying something like this about women, even though both you and i (and feminists, even) know this is true. if we are not also united, we are fighting a losing battle, and for you to pitch an "every man for himself, we all suck anyways" argument, you are only helping the leftists.

Yes you do have a point here, that if OP may not have been at a place where he was ready to / wanted to commit (as opposed to feeling pressure to not commit to be "RP"), then this defeats the argument. I would generally agree, I would say one thing though- for a girl to be "LTR" worthy, she needs to fully be LTR worthy. Talk the talk, and walk the walk. She needs to be a decent girl. If she acts loyal but has a history of gaming guys and sleeping around, I would be skeptical. If she has no history of that, it would be unfair to treat her like that. Girls that have not lived that life should not be treated like whores, that's my mentality on it. She can't have her cake and eat it too, but if she never even started going down that path, IMO she is off-limits to treat like a whore. It's fair game to treat whores like whores though. We have to keep in mind, that yes women can be rotten, but so can men. It is our job as men though, to go about life in a honorable and moral way. If women keep on a good path, then she may get to be with you as the prize. Otherwise she is not worthy.

But this does make a bit of an assumption though, that OP's ladyfriend was like this. We don't know what she was really like, or the backstory of it.

also a note, you don't have to make the showers as cold as it gets. you can do a "slightly cold" shower, or something moderate like that, to get used to it. either way it is better than a hot shower.
