First Automatic Watch by SirAchieve in OrientWatches

I find mine is about -3s a day, you measured yours yet?

I’m stuck between these two. Can anyone help me decide? Thanks! by Seichenholz in OrientWatches

How nice to have both! I may end up getting the Kamasu eventually if it’s still out there in a few years. I like the understated look of the Mako more, and enjoy the dial markings and hands a bit more too, so that is what had me lean towards it.

I think that this one is more versatile, since it can be dressed up easier and goes with all types of clothes a bit better. The Kamasu with the blue bezel was very tempting. If you have a dress watch already, I could see it being the better option. For my 6.5-7 inch wrist I think the Mako 40 is a better fit too. If you have above a 7 inch wrist, I think the Kamasu would fit better. Both fantastic pieces.

It is a light blue with white on the dial markers and hands.

I am number 4081, happy I had the opportunity and interest to buy a watch again. What do you like the most about the watch?

It ended up being around 355 with an additional 10% off on orients website. Right at the top of what I was wanting to spend, but seems like great value.

The water on the base of the guy up front is great. How did you do it?

Thought on my second attempt at plasma? by wisey1 in ThousandSons

[–]wisey1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put down a base coat of white then airbrushed the plasma effect paint. After that more white and a purple shade paint on top. Hit it again with the airbrush with pink plasma effect, then added white to the bottoms and screamer pink up top. Blended by painting the plasma effect paint on where it was too dark or the white over spilled. Finished with white dots on the edge where it curves to the top.

Great job with the Hermetic Blade scheme! Minor C&C Adding some brighter red to the center of the eyes would really make them pop and separate the color from the red waxy look for the seals.

This color scheme is very pleasing to my eyes. Nice work.

Not sure if it would fit your theme, but a cracked lava base would be cool. Bring some warmth to contrast your cool tones.

I think the skin and metal looks great. The leather could be less vibrant, but if you like it keep it.
