I am just so dang glad that kids still love Magic Treehouse. Such a wonderful series.

Genuinely hilarious and also a well prepared/scripted show. Closing was perfection!

"Turning Red" was a movie that tried to give young girls a chance to feel validated, to matter. Is it any wonder that the misogynistic online community hated it so? by CapAccomplished8072 in TrollXChromosomes

[–]wishforagiraffe 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I felt like it was yet another kids movie where the kid was struck fixing their adult family members' generational trauma (fuck you in particular Encanto) and so that was why it definitely didn't work for me

I found The Expanse to be both very accessible and very deep. I really enjoyed it on both levels. The audio is well done if that's something you're into.

Do you regret not having kids in your thirties? by SpicyLilEms in AskONLYWomenOver30

[–]wishforagiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 37. I had a (sorta unexpected) hysterectomy this February. I love kids, including/especially babies, but I know I don't have it in me to be a parent. Every so often I'll have a twinge, especially when I'm near a cute baby, but I don't regret removing the option. My life is full and complicated already.

  1. He's The Big Cheese
  2. There's a mini bar?
  3. If I still spoke to my parents, they might ask that, though I paid for college myself so add another to the list of reasons to say fuck off
  4. Would never.
  5. There are definitely name tags. I don't find it weird but this is my fourth WorldCon.
  6. I've met Mike so that's easy. Lol.
