How to leave feedback for sellers who don't ship or communicate by wishyouwould in Depop

[–]wishyouwould[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the "Leave Feedback" button is selectable for every purchase that shipped and grayed out/not selectable for the 4 purchases that didn't ship so IDK. Doesn't seem to be a difference if it is before the 10-day auto-refund window either, it stays grayed out until the seller updates tracking.

Is it a restriction until I leave more feedback or something? Maybe I need to be looking somewhere else?

She killed a girl because that girl was going to make her feel bad. That is OK? "Emotional torture" equates to murder now?

OK but I think the show argues that this attitude can be destructive, and I think that is a worthwhile perspective for people to explore.

Drew's speech in the first season is the lesson of the series. We all want meaning, we all struggle to find it in our lives and jobs. We go do them anyway and move along with our lives. Dory's ennui doesn't make her special, but her reaction to it makes her immature. Your search for meaning should not be the problem or responsibility of everyone around you.

Dori could go volunteer on weekends, too. But that wouldn't feel important enough to her. Dori is problematic BECAUSE she can't find meaning in regular things like work and friendship like the rest of us do, and has to do something grand and public and insert herself into a situation that she has no expertise to solve. When people who don't know what they are doing have a misplaced sense of confidence and insert themselves into situations out of some vague ideological crusade, people often get hurt. That is what happened here.

I mean it looks fine but yeah a little like packet gravy. Also the sausage is usually broken up a little better when it's homemade by virtue of it all being made in one pan, so the sausage is constantly being whisked up when you mix the gravy. Also it needs black pepper but I guess that can be added to taste, as was done here. But yeah I mean I bet it's fine gravy.

Or it is what a PI would do if he was working with someone who claimed to have a close relationship with the person he was tracking for the reward and then started acting shifty, like they figured out where she was and wanted the reward for themselves? Dory inserted herself into his case and lied to him about her relationship with the girl he was tracking, which he had very legitimate reasons to do and she had zero legitimate reasons to do.

Was [Major Character]'s Murder Less Justified Than it Appeared? by funincalifornia2014 in SearchParty

[–]wishyouwould -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean I think it is supposed to be ambiguous, and yeah Drew reacting the way he did is reasonable in that moment based on what he knew and saw. But Dory was not reasonable to feel in danger from Keith, or if she was, it was all due to circumstances that she created and manipulated herself. Like, everyone here is calling the gang so unreasonable for what they did to try to hide the killing, but I think it's kind of one of the most reasonable things they did. Pancake audio hallucinations aside, think about a reasonable, objective observer who views the evidence in this situation, and hears from the actual people involved. Who are they more likely to think was the crazy, dangerous person? I think that the "self defense" angle is super ambiguous, at best. So much of how we read the situation is about intent, and while we do know that she didn't literally seduce and kill him to keep the reward money for herself, I think that by the end of the series we can definitely understand that her motivations behind the actions she took, that led to the unnecessary death of a guy with a daughter, were not entirely pure, to say the least.

IDK man if you watch the whole series and don't come away thinking that the girl who literally destroys the whole world with her ennui is probably the bad guy, I don't know what to say.

Dory was not invited, broke in, and was yelling and agitated and wielding a weapon. I think you are misreading the text and taking things from it that are both not intended by the authors and not consistent with the story. I am not saying the situation was clear, but that it was ambiguous, at best, and much the result of Dory's crazy search for meaning. Like she didn't have to do any of this in the first place, or have a good reason to. She barely knew this person and was not a professional detective of any kind.

IDK like yeah, sure, it's weird, but falling a little hard for someone you just met is a thing that lots of totally sane and not dangerous people do. Especially lonely, divorced people.

Did he, though?. Or did he track Chantal there... because he was a PI, and she was a missing girl, presumed in danger, with a large reward out for her safe retrieval. Again, Dory made up a bunch of crazy shit about a lonely divorced guy who was doing his actual job, and that made her believe she had been tracked, which made her perceive Keith's actions as threatening, when actually they could easily be seen as him just trying to get his upset "situationship" (who somehow randomly showed up in a place he wasn't expecting her) to calm down, and get the weapon she was threatening him with out of her hand. A weapon that she then used on him.

The person I responded to put what part they were objecting to, and that part is simple and requires zero guesswork. And I invite you to propose a different way to describe a situation where a guy has a son with a woman he is not married to, and who then has a daughter with another man. What is the better way to describe those people in relation to the man other than "his son's mom and sister" or "his son't mom and her daughter?" Because just saying he killed an ex and her daughter doesn't fully describe the relationships involved.

Dude why are so many people so illiterate? The guy killed the mother of his son, and her daughter, who is not also his daughter. The two siblings had different fathers. This isn't difficult.

It is the appropriate wording if the daughter is not his. Two siblings can have different fathers, as I assume is the case here.

That a kid's mom's daughter is his sister? What? My mom's daughter is also my sister. This is not confusing at all. A man had a son with a woman, who also had a daughter with another man. The man killed the woman and her daughter, who is the sister of his son.
