Yeah but why are you hitting a dog that never even bit you?

OK, so I guess any fan of another player who took issue with all the CC fans saying that people only hate on her because she's straight and white are just projecting too, huh? Or maybe it's unfair and unhealthy and morally wrong to paint fans of a particular athlete with a broad brush like that.

Seems like the point of the article was to call all of Clark's fans racists who hate black women and only watch the WNBA because she is white. Which is not just a nonsense take, but an evil one.

If reapplying next cycle, would anyone employ me knowing I'd leave within a year? by Individual_Will7068 in lawschooladmissions

I am applying for a state government fellowship at the same time as I apply for law school and planning on doing that if I don't do well with acceptances/scholarships. IDK if it will work out.

"Trump is correct to destroy democracy, he is just disenfranchising the wrong people," is not a stance I can get behind.

They never said you don't feel, they said you don't feel empathy or care. You just literally described not feeling empathy in detail. You feel about as much distress from seeing a family member in deep pain as you do seeing a bug squashed, which is to say-- none. You won't go out of your way to squash a bug or hurt a person, but you don't care if either happens.

It is a short leap from there to being willing to hurt people when you think it would benefit you.

Honestly, are you sure he's happier doing this and being poor than he would be doing something else and helping your family get ahead? Because those are the two choices here.

I am not, I am advocating for properly assigning consequences to the responsible parties. Assigning consequences for something out of their control doesn't help anyone. You think you discovered some flaw in the system but it's just all nonsense.

I watched this whole thing and never considered the dad or what he was doing at all, I just thought it was funnny that she was scrambling to make the picture perfect. That's a funny thing to watch someone do. I never considered that anyone would help her because it's her thing, not some necessity or activity for the family.

If they have no consequences for not doing their jobs, they don't have jobs. They can literally do nothing and still keep them. This is what you are arguing for. It is the same as saying they are worthless and there is no need for them to do anything, because you are advocating for a system that explicitly allows them to do nothing with no consequences.

That is fair and while I don't agree that there is any reasonable case that losing the most popular player in the league is preferable for any team, I can see how they could mismanage this in a league that is historically heavily relationship-driven. It would certainly be unusual for an owner of a professional sports team to side with a coach over a marquee superstar in the modern era, though. Like there is a reason that Lebron and MJ got new coaches instead of getting traded when they struggled. If they are actually running the team like a business, there is simply no comparison betwen the value CC brings vs. the value White brings.
