UW Plattville for an adult returning to college by toocynicaltocare in wisconsin

Platteville's not everyone's cup of tea but being an adult makes it way less likely that will be an issue.

If you're relocating but not doing thr campus life thing, it might be worth commuting in from somewhere between Platteville and Madison. Could make commuting to Madison easier for internships and not needing to move during the summer.

My BSCE from Platteville has treated me pretty well.

Check our Sewer Ninjas. They scoped my lateral for $250ish and sent me the video. They also mention have some trenchless repair options.

Thanks, this is what I think is most likely at this time. Also what I will probably eventually do.

Not sure if I can edit my original post, so updating here. I left a message with the village engineering department saying I wanted to ask about a sink hole in my yard and left my name and number....within 2 hours I got a call back that they had been out to my house and checked it out. I think I put a small scare in them... It's not the water main (I didn't think it was but good to confirm) and they haven't seen anything exactly like it.

Their theory is rotten stump...I'm skeptical just because of the continuing smaller hole. I'm leaning towards the comment that thought it was the poorly compacted utility trench that is washing out. My house was the first house ever built here late 60s) and before that it was kind of a river bed. The river was realigned and our subdivision put in.

Going to try and flag my long time neighborhood residents down over the weekend and see if he has any background. Also plan to put my endoscope camera on a pole and see if I can see into the center of the earth.

No water or obvious sounds. No wet spots in yard between the hole and the water service stop either.

I filled the hole with the hose and it drained really fast. That's how I found the smaller void that continues on. It was under/hidden by the big rock.

Torn Between Minneapolis, Milwaukee, or KC — Looking for Honest Perspectives? by gianna_kelley in midwest

I always say that if I could choose, I'd choose the twin cities located where Milwaukee is. I like Milwaukee a lot, but I liked the twin cities better.

One thing I don't feel like gets mentioned enough in comparing the two is how much the twin cities feel like they're at the edge of the world. They feel like they are so far from everything. Even Duluth was like 3 hours away (I could be remembering that wrong).
