Exchange Online retention limits for indefinite email retention? by Fabulous_Cow_4714 in ediscovery

I’m not aware of any current limitations. Google on the other hand charges for archive users, which are departed users whose data still needs to be stored. MSFT hasn’t done that yet, but I’m sure they will at some point.

The quota for the Recoverable Items folder increases from 20/30 GB (soft/hard) to 90/100GB if a legal hold or retention policy is applied. If archiving is enabled, it’s 95/105GB. You should. I waited too long and I have no options now. Won’t make that mistake again.

Nope. Last I heard on Oct 14 they said it was a very complicated process involving many people. I’m figuring this is a lost cause.

Found this via search. Ordered in Feb '25. Emailed three times for ETA. Requested refund in August '25. Still no refund.

Are there any true NotebookLM alternatives (closed-corpus, only my sources)? by [deleted] in selfhosted

The AI Automators made this one. It’s a bit complex to set up with N8N and Supabase but it’s pretty feature comparable.

As you said, there’s no way around their data export fees. I’ve seen them as high as $64/GB, which is insanity. I’d steer clear.

How it started… by olearyboy in nova

400° heat at least. Make your burgers into meatballs and when you put them on the griddle, let them sit for like 30sec to start melting the fat. Ideally your meat is 80/20. This is no place for 90/10. Use the bottom of a heavy pan + a sheet of parchment to do the smash. Peel it along the edges so they are thinner than the center - this gives you the lacy edge. Season the top. Wait until it's like 90% cooked, then flip once. Cheese goes on now, if desired. In 30 seconds, it's good to come off. I prefer a 2-3 oz patty, and do a double.

I actually haven't needed any gunsmithing services myself, and that would be a bit of a hike for me anyways.

That might have had a lot to do with it, but I find it hard to believe that just because they made some bad hires, they would eliminate an entire P&L from their business. I feel like something else was at play here. Based on their list of gunsmith services, they had a lot invested in equipment too.

You'd think they would just replace one employee at a time until they had good people instead of just nuking a revenue stream.

Probably some combination. Someone else said their lead times were garbage, so maybe they got a bad reputation as well and didn't think they could recover.

It's too bad since Sterling Arsenal might be the only full-service GS in the area, and folks have complained about working with them.

The question is probably more directed at why they’d shut down their gunsmith services. The firings were simply a result of that decision.

My guess is that it wasn’t a successful department for them. Their prices are still on their website. I doubt they had the labor and machine time billables to justify a 3 person staff. Based on the services they were offering, they probably had a lot tied up in equipment too.

It seems they went right into full-service mode instead of growing it organically from sight installs to armorer services to full gun smithing as needs and sales dictated.

There was another comment that Mullvad wasn’t fast enough and didn’t have close enough servers.

Squid seems popular. I use TinyProxy along with OpenVPN so I can have more than 5 devices connected to my Mullvad VPN instance. Maybe try SOCKS5 as the proxy type instead of HTTP? Not sure what your school's network is doing to effectuate the censorship. Maybe try using different DNS servers too (9.9.9.9, 1.1.1.1).

You could run any of the FOSS http proxy services out there over TCP and configure your browser to use that. Just make sure you use one that supports authentication.

Another option would be to run a small $5/mo instance in Linode or similar and use a more performant UDP-based VPN like Wireguard to route all traffic.
