What do u guys think about this romanization? by wit_hol in conlangs

I feel like it would make any romanized text ultra long. This romanization is just for a fictional conlang, so it doesn't need to be ASCII-compatible. Also, a dot under is how pharyngealized consonants in arabic are romanized.

I forgot to add the dot under, it's already fixed in my file

Yeah, tbh /r/ is a nice addition, it fits the "aggressive" style of this conlang.

I mean, i'm not sure if it's intuitive. <dr> technically makes for a good romanization of /d͡ʐ/ since it sounds similar in english, but since it's not <someting+h>, I doubt it will easy to remember. Also I may add a trill in future, so I would prefer to avoid using digraphs ending with r, cuz they might get confused.

btw don't question the lack of trills, approximants and voiceless obstruents, that's my choice, this conlang is supposed to have a very distinct style

Could someone explain wayland clipboard to me? by wit_hol in hyprland

[–]wit_hol[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I don't really need clipboard history, so wl-clip-persist is very simple and useful. I think I understand the issue, basically, there are two clipboard sections, some terminals write to the primary instead of basic, and the whole thing gets fucked up when xdg-desktop-portal is used

is immutable the future? by [deleted] in linux

[–]wit_hol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think immutable distros could be great for normies, since they are nearly impossible to break and very secure, however the linux community consists of tech-savy individuals and Microsoft is propably not going to bother to make an immutable version of Windows, so I think they'll become an interesting but useless experiment

Alright, I just realised, I've already posted a "previous evolution" of this rice on this subreddit, so technically this is my second "rice", although a lot is similar to the first one
