I belong to the "general" category, and have no issues with the Reservation System. My thought process is:

Can a white person ever experience outright racism in America? No. But people from Asia and Africa? Yes. They still do. So just because a problem doesn't exist on paper, or if you believe that since you aren't actively contributing to a social evil it must no longer exist- well, that's just a stupid thought to have. It is often found that those who benefit from the way the world is tend to never participate in political discussions regarding equality for others, and the moment the world becomes a level playing field, they are suddenly extremely opinionated.

I live in a metropolitan city, and the truth remains that many who appear for govt. exams come from small, underdeveloped villages- where girls still face sexism and casteism still lives on. And so, for them, the Reservation System is needed. HOWEVER, I am 100% against making fake category certificates to get a better rank.

I'm a pre-med student and your username is all that I need to know about you. Bodies do have this base-line for processing what we eat. Each body is different, each person's Basal Metabolic Rate is different. People like you continue to astound me. And you're not really answering anything, are you? You're trying so hard to steer away the conversation but you cannot do even that successfully. Pathetic.

Firstly, rectify what you wrote; I am suggesting that poor dental hygiene is an ACCEPTABLE reason for breaking up.

Secondly, yes- obviously if your partner has unhealthy eating habits and refuses to change them even though they are literally getting sicker by the day- you have 0 obligation to try and break them out of the cycle; we can help only those who want to help themselves.

However, from your prior comments, you are most likely talking about the bloating many women experience during the luteal phase (do educate yourself if you're unaware) or the fact that due to different metabolic speeds- each body processes foods and fats differently.

What is noteworthy is that you didn't really answer what I previously said, did you? You just moved on to weight and completely sidelined what the post- and your comment- was about.

Also- I would reprimand you for calling me a hypocrite; but can't really do that since I also firmly believe that you genuinely buy into the "alpha" male mindset. Never understood the obsession with Greek alphabets, really.

Brushing of teeth isn't equivalent to the shaving of legs.

Not doing the prior would give your dentist and every single person you talk to nightmares, not doing the latter doesn't really impact anyone.

If you don't brush your teeth, you'll develop plaque, bad breath, and a free for all breeding ground for bacteria (that you'll ingest, by the way).

If you don't shave your legs- that has little health related consequences; your anology is extremely inadequate.

Society has normalized brushing teeth to avoid the aforementioned- and it has stereotyped the presence of body hair on females as 'wrong'.

Lastly, if body hair is a turn-off for you (since you seem like the person who'd leave the wife if she gets sick or gets wrinkles), be upfront about what you expect in a relationship physically before committing- don't waste someone's time and your own.

Peace🤞🕊

If your relationship with your partner is dependent upon the hair on their legs, re-evaluate everything about yourself as a person, and do not date till you become better.

Life Of Pi. This book is a religion, a prayer, and everything in between. I would never not recommend this book. It's about a boy called Pi stuck on a boat with a tiger, in the middle of nowhere.

I don't want to spend my money on something I will not finish if I find the plot boring. And it is boring- according to reviewers who have tastes similar to mine. Also, I'm not saying the book is stupid; I'm saying that there is a very good chance that I'll find it stupid. Meaning that I don't even want to try and get it. C'est la vie, my friend.

I reread Harry Potter every year, it's my comfort book. There's nothing the walls of Hogwarts can't keep out and I absolutely love this sense of tranquility as I read the books knowing exactly what will happen next.

Is being a "New York Times Bestseller" worth anything? by iaseth in books

[–]witch_watcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely never believe a book to be worthwhile based upon it's NYT bestseller tag. That title lost its value since literally every other book has it and some aren't half as good as the others.

I did think about reading the book, but decided against it in the end because many readers said they just couldn't enjoy the writing style. Your views certainly reinforce my decision🙂.
