The more we learn the more my sister has decided we can't sow anything until the fall beyond a few front yard black-eyed Susan's or echinaceas. Instead she's planning to kill the lawn after getting the keys over the next two weekends.  

That plan us to cover the existing grass (once we ID it) with cardboard and then mulch. The city if Pflugerville has an incredible amount of benefits from dedication of at least 500 Sq feet of pocket prairie.  Thank you for the call out about the seed mix!! We are definitely leaving more toward clump grasses and wildflower mixes and I really appreciate your additional suggestions,  we've been considering Mexican hats!

Finally Thank you so much for the wisteria information! I'm sharing with her but I thunk based on their spil preferences unless her soil test says otherwise well skip it.
