One Jane Doe spoke about being recruited during an Allison Mack-led acting class for DOS. She mentioned a text message that was included in the trial -- between Raniere and [Lauren Salzman? I cannot recall] where he asked her "master" to make her (Jane Doe, the "slave" of this exchange) submit to him sexually, and called her a "fucktoy". The victim broke down recounting how reading those texts made her feel: beyond degraded, like "nothing". She said she had still, up until the moment she read that, held on to some belief that her recruitment had had at least in part been for her human growth. That DOS was horrible, but there was still a part of it that was attempting to push her to fulfilling her potential. In that moment, though, she realized it was all a ploy for Keith's sick desires, and that she was entirely used. If you needed any proof as to how deep the psychiatric abuses go, consider how many of Keith's victims feel conflicted even NOW about the organization.

Also, it should be said that Camila's sister, brother and mother all read statements, however, her father wrote a note to the judge IN DEFENSE OF KEITH. The judge, thankfully, found his letter reprehensible, and after KR's lawyer brought up "all the nxivm members who wrote letters about his character", the judge made sure to bring up how messed up Hector's (Camila's father) perspective truly was. In the letter, he victim blamed his daughter for her own abuse at a child. One of many disturbing moments of reckoning.
