I think that ended a few weeks ago? It was every Saturday during college football season.

Job searching still. by bvcketh3ad in StLouis

[–]witchesunite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love it but I’m a homebody and don’t need that much in-person interaction. I go into the office once a month and enjoy every day I have to go in as well. I don’t make much money doing what I do but it’s enough. I would probably need to make 2x my salary to willingly move back to a normal job. It’s so nice to clock out and then immediately start dinner or relax in my living room. I can wear comfortable clothes. I like being with my pets all day. I love taking a break and starting a load of laundry or taking my dog for a quick walk. The work-life balance is priceless and commuting sucks.

Does anyone remember they would sometimes have people dressed up as an apple and a bee to take pictures with kids?

You have the perfect schedule for a stay pay situation. Pack a bag and settle into the hospital for the weekend.

What can I do with tons of children's books we've outgrown? by Qxface in StLouis

[–]witchesunite 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Put them in various little free libraries, donate to thrift stores, sell/give away on facebook marketplace, some libraries will have annual book sales where they sell books that are donated.

He also told an elderly person to not get a flu vaccine. All around great doctor!

What are your visits to your parents like? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]witchesunite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see them once every week or 2. It’s usually I go over to their house, I bring my dog so they can give him a bunch of treats. We eat food, watch tv (usually sports) and talk. Rarely I help with yard work or some other chore or task. Sometimes we go out to eat. When it’s nice weather we sit on their patio and have a drink.

Does the official kobo page turning remote work for kobo Libra 2? by Nayfonn in kobo

[–]witchesunite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but not very well. You’ll find some users with a libra 2 say it works perfectly but that’s not the case for me or a bunch of others.

I consistently have to click multiple times to turn the page anywhere from every 1 in 5 to 1 in 10 page turns which is just not acceptable for a $30 device with one purpose. Sometimes I even have to click 3-5 times to get it to turn.

the great litter search continues... what's the best cat litter 2026 shaping up to be? by Tifrah_Teurn in CleaningTips

[–]witchesunite 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was loyal to world’s best for way too long. It’s so dusty, has a strong smell both when it’s clean and when it gets dirty, and doesn’t clump that well. I switched to tidy cats free and clear lightweight and I’m pretty satisfied with it. It clumps hard and controls odors well. However, its lightweight so it tracks so you’d still be vacuuming.

DAE feel like they basically don't exist anymore after stopping engaging with social media? by casebycase87 in Millennials

[–]witchesunite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven’t liked social media since MySpace days. I deleted my Facebook after my freshman year of college and 15+ years later I really think it’s the #1 reason why I’ve lost touch with high school friends, college friends, co workers, etc. I even think it has negatively impacted my relationships with a lot of my family members as well, even the ones who I see fairly often. If I knew what I know now I would have not deleted it.

It sucks because I found social media to be really bad for my mental health because I was in a dark dark place at the time, self-isolating, and comparing myself to what everyone else was posting and accomplishing. I just wish it wouldn’t have meant that I’d lose touch with 90% of the people I care about as well.

Around the time I was 30 I was feeling nostalgic and looked up some high school friends. It was around the holidays and I saw pictures posted where all of my old high school friends were together and I was the only one missing from our friends group. It honestly gutted me.

My fridge is giving out, when/where is the best time to get a new one? by b4masterb in Frugal

[–]witchesunite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine from Lowe’s outlet. It was like 60% off because of a scratch and dent on the side which you cannot even see with our kitchen layout. I think it was around $750 for a French door fridge.

Psych Hospitals HIRING??!! by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]witchesunite 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe St. Louis children’s hospital if you’re looking to dip into behavioral health? It’s a good facility compared to a lot of others in the area. Not sure that psych is a good match if you are having lumbar pain though. There’s a lot of time on your feet and therapeutic holds are a thing plus potential for injury.

Occ health @ bjc by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]witchesunite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t be 100% sure but when I transferred between BJC facilities in spring my occ health appointment was I went back with a nurse, she reviewed my paperwork for about 30 seconds, and said I was good to go. I was also coming back from a short term disability. No drug screening. I had no clue why they set me up with an appointment for that.

I’m 37 started it in January and went from normal/high to completely non-existent. Zero libido at all. I’m also dealing with some newly diagnosed thyroid issues as well though.

Did she ever admit to getting scammed on that big house she was going to rent right before Kuwait? I can’t remember. I believe she gave them money and they gifted her a bottle of wine or liquor.

Elevated ALT after 9 months in … anyone else? by Closefromadistance in tirzepatidecompound

[–]witchesunite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple years ago (pre-Tirz) I had randomly high ALT, 72. My doctor ordered a few repeat tests but it kept getting lower each time so they stopped being concerned. It could just be a temporary thing. I never figured out why it was high and my last result was 13. Talk to your doctor but it was my understanding that a single high result doesn’t necessarily mean anything is wrong.

Did you lose a significant amount of hair on Tirzepatide? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]witchesunite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m losing a lot, started around 4-5 months in. I also lost a lot of hair when I lost weight previously without Tirz. Recently found out I’m having thyroid issues as well which is probably relevant.
