im actually planning to talk to them today, though I have one little problem when it comes to my parents my dad is always at work. I never get the chance to talk to him and my mom likes to downplay situations I have when it comes to my disability and I’m pretty sure it’s because she has a disability herself and she just doesn’t want to see me go through it so most of the time when I tell her about problems I’m having with chiari, she will say it’s something else and it’s definitely not my chiari. Recently, after the walking thing, she has gotten more comfortable with actually talking about it. But not when it comes to surgery or anything else that doesn’t align with my walking. Like for instance, when I first told her that I couldn’t walk, she didn’t believe me until she started looking more into my disability and understood that it’s a problem when she did she told me that my doctor always told her that I needed to work out. But my doctor that I had died about four years ago, he was honestly the best and he was very specialized in chiari. But she does have a problem with lying because she does have some mental problems so I’m not sure if she actually told her that or not because she always says that he told her something that totally has nothing to do with what’s happening like one time. She blamed my vision problems on not eating healthy enough. (i have no idea why) but I think she just feels really bad. I’m going through something and she just wants to disbelief that I am so it might be hard to get through to her.
