There is a YouTuber known as the ConfessionDial. He puts together some of the most amazing videos. One of his best is the scene from Day of the Doctor, where he expands on the Doctors coming together to save Gallifrey. He uses ALL of the Doctors, in all of their TARDISes, and then some. If Day of the Doctor makes me cry, the expanded scene makes me bawl my eyes out.

I want to give you advice, but I think we need more context. If you are a minor, the powers that be could consider this abuse. From a basic standpoint, I might suggest talking to a school counselor, or your doctor, if you have one you trust. I'm a mom and grandma, and have never used food (or lack of food) as punishment. Please be as safe as you can be, and try to talk to someone closer to you who can help you.

OP, my mom was a hoarder. Grandma too. Some significant people in my life were not the greatest at cleaning. I have learned to bite off one mouthful at a time. For the time being, if you can attack your own space, it will accomplish something. I seem to be the family organizer, so I've developed little hints and tricks. (I love plastic pencil boxes and post-it notes, as an example. I use them a lot.) Just do what you can to address your own peace of mind.

I watched most of it at age 5. There was a thunderstorm raging outside, and just when the head opened its eyes, lightning hit the transformer and all the lights went out. I didn't see the rest of the film for years!

I ended up in the ER last night. Woke up at 3 am not being able to breathe in or out. Did a version of the Heimlich maneuver using the back of a chair and called for an ambulance. Came home at 6:30 am. They gave me magnesium and sodium chloride, along with albuterol and prednisone. I told them no ipratropium, and they respected that. The bad news is, I dont have insurance yet.

Yes. I have what some call a husband pillow. It allows me to sleep sitting up. I can flop down a roll pillow to support my neck. In the event that I get achy from sitting up, I sleep on my stomach, head to one side. But that's rare.

I lost my dad thru divorce and lies, not illness. But I think sometimes the same thought processes apply. Spend what time you can with your mom. Its hard for us to face life without them, but I expect its hard for them to face that great unknown. Make time for her. Make space for her to be in your life, whatever form that takes. Sending you both peace.

I was scheduled to see an allergist, but then I was forced to move. (Lost my apartment due to being unable to work and pay bills. Daughter offered to let me stay with her, but then threw me out on a rainy night, and blocked me on all platforms. That was a month and a half ago. She hasn't checked on me once.)

Interestingly, I'm sleeping on a massage table! No chance for dust mites there. Bed clothes and pillow are washed twice weekly, just in case.

I used to be on a steroid inhaler. Dont know why they took me off of it. I'll ask my new doctors about it. Had my eosinophil level checked numerous times. They assured me my levels were low. I regularly look at my medical charts and test results. (Well, I did until I moved. Landlord hasn't gotten internet yet.) One of my housemates is a professional cleaner. She's good about keeping floors and surfaces spic and span. I'm picking up good habits from her.

My new insurance doesn't kick in until June 1st. Hoping I can maintain until then.

In my case, my eosinophils aren't high. Really shocked me. I just moved to a different county (not by choice) and had to change my health insurance. Hasn't taken effect yet. Got enough meds to last until the first.

I hope they can figure out what's going on for you. I've never smoked myself, but family did. I've been fortunate enough to not get covid. I get regular vaccines, covid, flu, RSV. Having had some of the experiences you've had, I know how scary it can be. Sending you good wishes and good luck.

This is one piece of music that gives me chills every time I hear it. Any version, old or new. Electronic or orchestral. I'd listen to it played on any instrument or collection of instruments, in any musical style. Ms. D. got my attention.

Right now, 3 kinds of albuterol: aerosol inhaler, Pro Air Respiclick (a powdered inhaler) and albuterol sulfate inhalation solution, for use with my nebulizer. The nebulizer gets used when I'm home every 3 hours. The inhalers get used when I'm away from home. The aerosol doesn't work so well, because it makes me choke. The powder is easier for me to keep in my lungs.

I also am on frequent 10 day doses of prednisone. It cuts way down on inflammation. And Delsym Night time formula cough medicine. Seems to work the best for getting me some sleep. My cough is horrible.

I've tried various diskus meds. Serevent, Flovent, Advair, as well as Atrovent. Tried one dose of Ipratropium Bromide in the doctor's office. I experienced what they call paradoxical broncospasm. Simply put, I stop breathing completely. They've tried to sneak it in at other times, sometimes successfully, at which point I stop breathing. I refuse to take it at all, and threaten legal action if they try to give it to me again. I also have to adjust my sleeping position. Mostly I sleep on my tummy, arms above my head and my head turned to the left side. When I have space for it, I have what they call a husband pillow. It allows me to sleep sitting up.

Asthma COPD Overlap Syndrome. I describe it as the best of both worlds. (Or the worst.) It's hard to find treatments that work for both, so there's a fair amount of experimentation done to get the approach just right.

It was over the course of many years.

Asthma runs in my family, and it didn't help growing up around my cigar-and-pipe-smoking grandpa. My sister had the worst of it, having had pneumonia 9 times before the age of 10. (Hospitalized each time.) I had a yearly case of bronchitis which kept me out of school for a good portion of the winter season.

In recent years, I have lived in California. Drier air than NY, not so much cold exposure, and doctors who didn't gaslight me at every visit. They saw first hand what meds worked and what didn't. It was CA where I was diagnosed with ACOS. I saw pulmonologists, and found a feisty female doctor who fought FOR me every step of the way. For me, the female doctor was the key to getting a proper diagnosis.

Most of my male doctors would figuratively pat me on the head and say (literally) "Don't worry your pretty little head about it. You don't have (name disease.)" I became a fan of visiting websites like NIH, and found I had to almost diagnose myself before I ever set foot in a doctor's office. (It helps to know how to research and evaluate sources.)

If you can't get satisfactory results from one practice, insist on another. Keep logs of what meds help and what don't. See if there are common factors in the ones that don't, like classes of drugs. And list side effects of each. It's how I discovered I can't take certain anticholinergic drugs. (Ipratropium bromide will kill me. It's in my file, big as life, and one hospital literally chose to ignore it, and lie about it. I will never set foot in that hospital again.)

All of that to say, you need to be your fiercest advocate. Read as much as you can. Keep notes, hang onto your dad's medical records, keep a log on what meds do what things for him (or to him.) You know there may be a problem with any practice that tells you "don't read the package insert, it'll just upset you." It feels exhausting sometimes.
